EMH in January

Anyone know what days EMH is available at the end of January?

Also are weekends busy even then?

Don't know for sure about next year, but apparantly this year in January they were Friday through to Monday.

We were orginally going to go on 29th as I really wanted to go for my birthday on 31st, was gonna do the whole Cafe Mickey's birthday bash thing, but have decided to change it to 4th so that we can see some of the christmas celebrations

What about you? I read you were going in January too, can't believe you're going to DLH. I was trying to talk oh into it since it will be christmas time and all but he said it was tacky!!!!!!! I almost cried, seriously I was heartbroken. I bet you're going to have a fab time staying there.

We're going 25th-28th. So no decorations for us

We can't get anyone to watch the cat in early January, otherwise I would as I loooove fantillusion.

Jack's disney theory is now DLH or no trip...so I guess we are opposites partner wise. I'm worried this trip is gonna spoil us and every susequent one is going to be twice as expensive as it needs to be.

Although I've had to promise it's the only time we are going next year.....

We'll see what he says if we can get a good deal if the enchanted fireworks are back on next summer!!

You could always just pretend your staying in the DLH . You can spend time in the lobby, the bar, the shops and the restaurants etc in DLH, then just wander back to your hotel when you're ready to go to sleep.

Thats what we do. However next time we may not have that wander back to the hotel at night... Watch this space...

We always laugh at people who wander through the hotel in bathrobes (assume towards the swimming pool) as we think are they just doing that to say we are staying here not just visiting

Haha, I feel like a pervert when I do the robe walk.

My mum and I did it in New York going to our pool. But we were high up and the pool was in the basement, so our lifts doors opened at the lobby with loads of people waiting and milling about in reception and we were jsut standing there in robes and slippers!

Then we realsied ther were loads of lush changin rooms and showers and special robes and slippers provedid at the pool we could have worn and saved all our embarrasment!

Nothing booked yet - its still all in the planning stages but will be after January - possibly Easter. Unfortunately we are tied to school hols because of DD and DHs job.

Our APs have just run out (however we got 4 long trips out of them so definitely pd for themselves) and as we didnt have enough sponsors to get them renewed free we decided rather than pay for renewal and make lots of trips to save for a luxury trip next year - but as I say its all still in planning stages

love it. Think this is what I'll do, but not this time because we're staying in SL this time and I think that will be lovely to go back to at christmas time. Although I do plan on making a trip or two into the DLH in an effort to convince oh that it's not tacky at all and that we should stay there on a future visit. Although I only wanted to stay there as it was christmas, but then there's always next christmas

I kind of see how it could be accused of being tacky when viewed from the outside because of the pink walls etc...

The inside, however, is a completely different experience and isn't tacky at all.

Hmmmmm maybe. I forgot he hadn't seen pics of the inside. I've seen them on here, but he has only ever seen it from the outside, so hopefully I can convince him once we go for a wee jolly inside

I noticed this on DLRP Magic, up untill the end of Oct they are doing EMH everyday but in Nov and Dec its only monday- friday.

I wish they still did the evening extra hours, we had them 3nights on our trip last June, it was brill wondering around the park and going on the rides in the dark.

They was only on a few select days when i went in January. Not Monday to Friday. I remember i had EMH on a wednesday and a Friday.

I can't remember where I read this, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that there'd be no EMH after the Christmas season....

Will try and figure out where I saw it.... It might not be a reputable source though!! Don't hold me to anything!!

When i booked today the lady on the phoned said the ride closures programme is out next month, so maybe EMHs will be too.

I just love it for the photo ops!

Exactly, I really want this trip to be completely different to our 18 hours a day jam packed foot ache experience we just had.

I'm looking forward to hot chocolates, and warming up in the hot tub, and snuggling in our big bed.

We did everything except Animagique and Stitch Live last time, so I jsut want to be in the Magic and do whatever takes our fancy really.

Yeah that is exactly how i feel, Its a trip to take in all the magic and not rush etc. I will prob spend the whole trip in Fantasyland and meeting characters.

Me and Graham were just discussing this actually.

We're still umming and awwing about whether to go on the 4th or the 29th. I really wanted to get EMH because with the ages of our kids we mainly only do the rides that are open during EMH. If we go the 4th, we will only get one of our 6 days with EMH, but if we go on the 29th we will get all but 1 (and the day we arrive obviously) with EMH.

I think I'm going to agree with you both though that although EMH is fantastic for photo opportunities and riding the busy rides, I don't think I could handle it every day during our visit in January anyway. It will be nice not to have to get up at the crack of dawn, although we might have to to get a decent breakfast slot anyway
