EMH/getting to Character Breakfast on time

If I have PS for Restaurantosaurus at 8:00 am on a day that the AK has EMH (opens at 8:00). How do I get to the restaurant on time with all the crowds at the entrance? Should I try to reschedule my PS for a little later to see the opening ceremony at AK?

Don't worry about it. The restaurants know that they wont let you in earlier and it takes a few minutes to walk there. It's not going to hurt to be a few minutes late to a PS. When they have 8:00 PS (EMH or not) you can't get in to the parks before 8:00 and the CMs at the restaurants know it. Just go and have fun.

Let me add that you MUST use Disney transportation to get to the AK early. Cars as not allowed through the main gates until opening time so if you drive you will be really late. Only Disney buses are allowed to go through.
There will be a sign at the turnstiles for the character breakfast. They will check your name on the ps list and let you through. They escort a group of people at a time to the restaurant.

We always take our own car to AK. Since when won't they allow cars in for early opening? Is this something new? (We drove last summer.)

When we were there last, they didn't let anyone in the lot before 8:10 on an EMH day. There was no opening ceremony and the busses got in the same time we did.

Oh my goodness! We drive our own car and don't plan to take the bus because it's easier to deal with the stroller among other reasons. I hope they let us in to park otherwise we'll just have to miss it breakfast with Donald. Someone please say it isn't so
