If we’re talking about the hottest months- June-ish to Augest-ish- Epcot is sun in your face, no shade, and hot ground under your feet type of hot but with plenty of a/c areas to escape the heat. But getting from airconditioned place A to air conditioned place B leaves you literally dripping. AK is shaded so less hot, but often more humid and less airflow. However, AK has very little a/c to be found. I really don’t know which is worse. We tend to avoid both when it’s nasty hot.

I think for most young kids, AK is tons more fun than Epcot. Epcot has characters, Frozen, Nemo, and Figment. Nearly everything at AK appeals to most kids (and adults).

Okay - I normally do NOT recommend hoppers - but given you have only 4 days - and you want to hit MK twice - I think you need to buy hoppers.

OR - I would give up either the second MK day or EPCOT day - to spend a full day at AK.

I think AK is a must do - especially for a 6 year old. Between the rides, shows, animal trails, food, Wilderness Explorer Program - its a great all day park for kids.
