EMH Entry Process at Each Park

We really did not enjoy the "new" entry process at HS and AK on our trip last year - we went through the tapstiles around 20-30 minutes prior to rope drop, but then we were held at internal ropes, which allowed huge crowds to form. With small kids, it was quite unpleasant.

We haven't done morning EMH in a long time, but we'll be on-site in December, and we are thinking of doing some EMH mornings. Our kids are early risers anyway.

How does the entry process work for morning EMH at each park?? If the park opens for EMH at 8 am, do they start the tapstiles at 8 am, or is it like a regular, current rope drop, with the tapstiles opening prior to EMH? I assume MK works the same, whether it's EMH or a regular opening, but what about HS, AK, and Epcot?

It can actually vary, based on who is in charge that day.

In general, don't expect AM EMH entry to be much in advance of the posted AM EMH admittance time.
There is less chance of an inside-the-park "holding area" on AM EMH days.
(But there can be on some days.)
