We're going to WDW for 3 nights at AoA and 1 day at Epcot early August. I need to do our ADR soon so I want to know if it's worth it to go to Epcot on the day they have morning EMH or not. I have early risers (2 and almost 5 yo daughters) so I know it won't be a problem to go to the park for the early opening hour. I'm just afraid that the extra people that day will make the rest of our day there awful. What is your opinion on that? I won't buy a park hopper option.

The extra morning hour affords you time to ride with less lines in lower heat. You can always plan to take a break mid afternoon when it us most crowded and busiest and take naps/swim. Then you will be able to stay out later in the evening when it is a bit cooler.

Most definitely, especially if you can be there for rope drop. We usually get the big three (Soarin', Test Track and Mission Space) in during the EMH mornings.

Some say that they prefer to have "a less stressful tour," so they don't attend AM EMH.

I have found (for years) that AM EMH is one of the lowest stress times we've spent in the parks.
So easy to ride with shorter attraction lines.

If that park starts to get busy an hour or two into the day, we just "hop" out and go elsewhere.

The AM EMH is great now that you ban only FP+ Soarin Or TT.

FP+ one of them. Spend the AM EMH riding the other one.

Can we see the princesses during EMH? I could send hubby to soaring or test track and go meet some princesses with my girls...

I would use EMH to ride both TT and Soarin and use FP+ to ride your favorite a second time.

You are a kind of special case. You have at least one DD who is probably not tall enough for any of the headliners, so you'll need to use child swap for those if the rest of you are going to ride. FP+ can still help with this, but you'll need to plan it.

There are no princess meets that early in the morning. They are all over in WS and won't be greeting until that opens at 11:00. The character spot in EP with Mickey, Minnie and Goofy IS open during EMH, so you could go there while DH does the headliners.

Here's a "cheat sheet" for characters at EP:

As one PP mentioned, early EMH will give you slightly cooler temps to begin your touring. Without hoppers, you'll definitely want to take a break in the afternoon, but with the heat, you'll probably want to do that anyway, so I think I would take advantage of them.
