We are doing a short trip in mid October (15-18) and not planning on getting a park hopper. We want to spend 1 day in each park. The last day we will be spending a partial day at AK. The other days we will have dinner in/near the parks.

Of the days we are there, Epcot has an early EMH day and MGM has a late EMH day. Magic Kingdom does not have any EMH days.

We had planned on this:

Sat, Oct 15-MK
Sun, Oct 16-MGM (w/ late EMH)
Monday, Oct 17-Epcot (w/ early EMH)
Tuesday, half day only-AK

I know *most* people say not to go to parks on the days of EMH. Does it make THAT big of a difference in October? If so, what schedule would YOU follow? Touring plans list the days as follows:

Saturday, October 15, 2005 5(crowd level)/MK EP DS(best parks)/AK(avoid)
Sunday, October 16, 2005 5/AK/MK DS
Monday, October 17, 2005 5/DS/EP

We CAN NOT go to MK on Sun, Oct 16 because of the early park closing and lack of Spectromagic and Wishes. I would really like to use that EEMH for Epcot since that is our favorite park. But to do so and see Wishes, we also have to go to MGM on the LEMH day.

Am I just totally obsessing about nothing?

Personally, we always have the hopper option so we can move when a park gets too crazy. But if you're remaining with the nonhopping option, I say go with the plan you have.

My biggest impressions/advice:

On your MGM day, go as early as you can. We've done regular opening there before, and you can easily hit ToT and RnRC at least once if you're quick and you use fastpasses. You might find you don't even need to stay for EMH if you get a lot done early on.

Epcot is also our favorite park. We did Epcot morning EMH recently and rode Soarin (twice), TT, and MS in an hour and a half. That being said, we also decided we could skip some things. We hit UoE, SE, and HISTA before going to WS. We avoided the Land (other than Soarin) and Innoventions. We briefly did LS because I have to visit the manatee with the broken flipper (just a thing with me!). I think it would be a very full day for you, but I think if you can get through FW slightly ahead of the crowds, you can move on and enjoy WS.
