EMH and Magic Bands

Do they scan the magic bands at each ride during emh or do you just show them? Just wondering if it causes more congestion around the rides or is it working smoothly?

Scan them at each ride.

It's not exactly a quick process, but the crowd it builds seems to be less than the lines to enter the FP+ lines during the day even though it can take significantly longer, especially if the scanner isn't working quickly. We encountered CMs who would scan one band for the group, and others who needed to scan every single persons.
