EMH and CS at AK

Question-When we are DW in Sept. the only time we plan to go to AK is late in the afternoon and stay for their EMH which is until 8PM. We have no TS booked for that night and plan to just eat CS at the park. I just started wondering will they even have CS open since they usually close at 5PM? Wanted to try Flame Tree BBQ as we have eaten at Pizzasafari and Tusker House, is this going to be an option or will we have to wait until we get back to our resort that night? Thanks for any advise from those of you who have done this or know!

Yes I am sure they will have CS available with the later evening hours.

Can anyone verify that Flame Tree will be open during EEMH? I know CS will be, but usually Flame Tree closes before park close - so will only Pizzafari and Restaurantasauras be open? I am curious about this also as we will be doing EEMH at AK and if we need to will eat at Flame Tree first because we love their BBQ

My friend and I did the evening EMH last September. Tusker House closed before we could get to it (like at 4:00 p.m.) . . . I was so disappointed. I had heard such good things about it . . . and now it will be a buffet when I return in December. BUT, we did eat at the FlameTree and the food was great!! I'm pretty sure it doesn't stay open way past the regular closing time, but we probably got there about 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. We took our food down to the dock by the water. It had the most beautiful and surreal view of Expedition Everest and I saw an alligator swimming in the water. BTW, that was the best EMH I ever had. The park was uncrowded and it was just a thoroughly relaxing time.

I've done evening EMH 3 times. Both Flame Tree BBQ and Pizzafari are open for 2 of the 3 extra hours. So when regular park closing is at 5:00, these eateries close at 7:00. It's really convenient to go to the last showing of FOTLK, then go to Pizzafari for something to eat-hardly anyone there.

Was there at EMH in June. Flame Tree and Pizzafari were open until 9 (for EMH ending at 9)

The tea stand by Asia was open too.

I must warn you that not much else was open for snacks or drinks. My kids wanted ice cream and I couldn't find any until we were on our way out.

Thanks everyone. Just hated to not have anywhere to eat dinner and with 2 little ones they cannot wait until close to 9 when we get back to the resort. I know our 1st year we did EMH at MK and realized around 7 everyone had closed and our only choice was Cosmic Rays. It was fine we just spent to much time trying to find somewhere open.
