Hi all :wave2:

Okay so we've decided to book a cafe Mickey breakfast on one morning of our stay after looking and hearing about its yummyness on here. I've had no reply from DLP about the availability of a hot breakfast at the Cheyenne so the plan is to do one day at Cafe Mickey and possiably a breakfast at Annettes (to get my pancake fix!!) So I was wondering has anyone successfully got up - done EMH and then gone back to the Village for the 9:30 breakfast sitting? Does it work withough eating up too much park time? No pun intended! Or would I be better booking the earlier sitting?

Would appreciate any advice :)

The 9.30 sitting works much better for EMH than the 7.30am - we've only done the 7.30am sitting, and it put me off completely, as the characters don't come out until just after 8am, and so we missed out on the best part of the first and quietest hour of EMH.

Agree. Get to the Park for the first hour when you can get a good 10 rides in and then go and stuff your face!

Steve

We had a 7.30 sitting and the characters came out shortly after we seated, this was only Dec 09. We was in there until about 9 so if it had been EMH we would of missed most of it so I would say if EMH is on do an hr of EMH then head for cafe mickey

Hi all.

Useful thread here not really thought about the use of EMH and breakfast. Just assumed that you would have to get breakfast in a rush.

Just a thought:
Could you book a late breakfast time at hotel and do EMH first?

Also what time slots do they normally have for breakfast?

BTW we are staying in SL.
thanks

When we stayed at SL a few weeks ago breakfast was in half hour slots starting at 7am. We found if we got to breakfast at 7 ready to leave we could get to the park fairly easily by 8 walking. I'm not sure what time the latest breakfast is but certainly they had a 9.30 slot so you could get in at least the first hour of EMH before breakfast.

Yes we did EMH and then went out to have breakfast at Cafe Mickey at 9.30. It was much better this way (we've done it the other way as well). You get to do most of the rides in the quietiest hour of EMH, build up an appetite and then enjoy the characters at cafe mickey without feeling you are missing out too much on park time (as youve done so much anyhow). We deliberatly didnt rush breakfast and lingered over extra drinks at the end and it was very quiet as lots of people had rushed and left

We have also done EMH and gone back to the hotel for breakfast afterwards- DLH, NPB, SL, Explorers

Thanks for that information. Great help with the planning.

Not sure how the DD and her best friend will feel though about having breakfast so early. Most probably just be DH and me:rotfl2:

We did EMH and then back to our hotel for breakfast at about 9:30ish. By this time you'll have done all the rides you want to, and it starts to get busy by then anyway.

We stayed at the HNY, just past Cafe Mickey.

Once your in the park you probably wont (or from my experience) to get the shuttle back to the hotel just for breakfast as to me its a wasteful hour or two when you could walk to cafe mickey and have characters and make it a disney experience

We did this too got up at 6am and got ready for breakfast at 7 so we could go into the park for emh. DD didnt eat a thing as she was tired but woke right up once we got to the park lol

Thanks guys :) I'm a bit of an EMH newbie really - we've never really fully taken advantage of them - are they just for the MK or the studios too? And thanks for the Cafe Mickey advice - we are going into Paris one day so I think we will do EMH - breakfast at Cafe M - Train to Paris - back to MK for fireworks - busy but all good :)

The only time there are fireworks at DLP in Christmas season is on New Years Eve.

EMH are generally in the main park only, and certain rides only. If they are to take place in the Studios (this is still a rare occurrence) this will be advertised a couple of months in advance.

I can't wait until mine are at the age where they want to sleep in. My youngest still gets up at 6 most mornings:scared1:

Mine seemed to have no problems filling themselves up with all the pastries and yoghurts!

Hi yes it is a great time now on holiday that they sleep in but I want them to be up early and not waste a minute. :yay:

They also spend about 1-2 hours getting ready. Oh well they will sleep on the drive home.:rotfl2:
