Has anyone eaten here? Is it worth the trip? Will it be appropriate for my 13 year old to join me? Thanks!

One of the best meals in my life, superb service, excellent atmosphere, much love and care throughout the place! Expensive, but well worth it. As for your 13 year old,my daughter was 14 at the time and loved it. Enjoy!!!! :smooth:

I can second RLM's comments. We've eaten at both of his Orlando locations, and both times the service and food were excellent, especially in comparison to the usual Disney/Universal "great atmosphere/mediocre food" syndrome.

For our money, the new location at the Royal Pacific has fantastic ambience (try to get a seat next to the long mirror pool that serves as the main dining room centerpiece), but the food is not quite as great as what we've gotten at the original Citywalk location. You'll spend some money at either place, but if you like excellent, creatively prepared food, you can't get any better in Orlando. I wouldn't hesitate to bring your teenager; (I wouldn't say that if we were discussing Emeril's original restaurant in New Orleans' warehouse district; that place had the snottiest service I've ever been subjected to in any restaurant anywhere.

Thanks for your thoughts on this matter. I've decided to go ahead and make the reservations. I can't wait!

Emeril's is an incredible experience. I've had the fine dining experience at City Walk and in Las Vegas.

There is a children's menu, but don't expect prices of $3.99.

Be sure to allow several hours for your meal.

I recommend Emeril's Tchoup Chop restaurant at the Royal Pacific. The restaurant is so beautiful and the food was so good. I think that Emeril's on City Walk looks too ... I don't know, boring ... compared to Tchoup Chop. I would guess your son would like Tchoup Chop better, but I can't really say since I don't know him. But TC seems like more of a teenage place.

We ate at Emerils 3 years ago, and my mother got food poisoning. We never have bad experiances anywhere, and my parents have been to both of Emerils restaurants in Louisiana. I would like to go to Tchoup Chop this year though...
