I will be going to Orlando this July, has anyone gone to Emeril's Restaurant in Universal Studios CityWalk? And if you have how was the food, the atmosphere, etc.?

We ate at Emerils at City Walk two years ago and enjoyed it. The food was excellent, as was the service. The atmosphere is not romantic or quiet--the restaurant has a large ceiling and it got very loud.

I took my wife last year for our anniversary. We LOVED it.

Ask to be seated on the top floor. It is much quieter and cozy. When I made the reservations I noted that it was our anniversary and that might be why they put us up there. My wife got up once to go to the ladies room, and two waiters swooped in on her. They escorted her. At first she didn't know what the heck they were doing.
The food was great. The wife still wonders what they did to the spinach. "Even the side dishes were unbelievable".
Anyway, hope you have a good experiance.

We have eaten at Emeril's and enjoyed it very much. I'm chuckling because we were seated upstairs and thought it was kind of boring. We were envious of the people sitting downstairs. It was much livelier. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and I think they put us upstairs for a little more privacy. I didn't care for it.

The food was fabulous! I highly recommend the banana cream pie.

We just went in Sept. EXCELLENT Food. Good service and generally a nice place especially after a day at the theme park. We had a rack of lamb and a veal chop. Finished with a chocolate souffle to die for...the waiter drizzles the hot chocolate right in front of you like a big show! The people next to us were having steak and lobster. Wish we had more time...we'd eat that too!

This may be a silly question but do you have to pay admission to Universal Studios to eat at Emeril's?

kpossible - no, you do not have to pay admission to Universal to eat at Emeril's. It is located in Citywalk (Universal's version of Disney's Downtown Disney). You will have to pay to park in the parking garage before 6:00 p.m. After that time, maybe you can get your ticket validated? I'm not sure on that, but I'm sure someone else can answer.

There are actually two Emeril restaurants on Universal property. The other one is located inside the Royal Pacific Resort and is called Tchoup Choup. You can either park right at the Royal Pacific ($6 parking or valet) or you can park at Citywalk and take the boat over. I've eaten at both of these restaurants and highly recommend the Tchoup Choup over Emeril's. The restaurant is gorgeous and very romantic on the inside - it is small and intimate. The food is more of an Asian flair which I found more interesting. Possiby the best meal (and dessert) I've ever eaten was at this restaurant, whereas I don't even remember what I ate at Emeril's.... However, the service is EXCELLENT at both of these restaurants.

We ate at Tchoup Chop back in March, and we loved it! It was the best meal I have ever had! We paid the $55.00 per person and were at the Chef's Table which is a long counter top that you sit at with about 8 people total. You have your own personal chef that makes everything right in front of you. It is a preset menu that changes, but everything we had was awesome.

The Mai-Tai's are good and strong, and the service is fabulous!

I, too, have eaten at Tchoup Chop (twice). I can highly recommend. We actually preferred it to Emeril's at Citywalk. I like the atmosphere better at Tchoup Chop. Food was great at both restaurants.
