Emeril's Dress Code?

I have a reservation for dinner at Emeril's during our trip in a few weeks. We were planning on dinner after seeing Universal, but it just dawned on me that we might not be appropriately dressed after a day at the park without driving back to change clothes. The only 'requirement' I can see is that men wear sleeved shirts. Would a polo, decent shorts and sandals for the guys, and maybe capris and sandals for the ladies be okay? I probably wouldn't dress this way for a comparable restaurant at home (or what I think would be), but in this location, maybe it is acceptable?? I don't want to feel out of place and want to be considerate of other diner's expectations.

We dined at Emeril's Tchoup Chop before and were dressed casually. No one was wearing shorts, but I know my DH and DS were wearing jeans. Sandals should be okay, but I wouldn't do flip flops.

The best thing to do when in doubt is to call.

We ate at Emeril's a few years ago with 6 other friends. We were dressy casual. Guys wore khakis and polos with closed-toe shoes. Girls wore dressy capris and blouses with dressy sandals. We felt that most people there were comparably dressed. No one we saw was in shorts or casual sandals (teva, birks, etc).

Oops - I was referring to Emeril's Orlando, not Tchoup Chop. Sounds like we don't want to be wearing shorts so will either bring a change of clothes or change our reservation.

Thank you both!

Just to clarify, we ate at Emeril's Orlando. Our friends toured Universal that day and went back to their on-site hotel to change before dinner.

Its the ambience thats sets the dress code..
We ate there at Universal with shorts and T-shirts and had a great meal..
My thinking on this is come as you are,who cares what the others think.
Just be yourselves and you will have a great time!!!:thumbsup2

There will be a mixture of people there. Since it is at a theme park, you will see shorts and polos, and slacks and blazers (open collared). Locals will tend to dress up a little more, but we havent been sweating it out all day when we come for dinner :)
