I was wondering if anyone who has been to Emeril's at Orlando would be able to tell me about their experience? Is the food worth the money? I just booked reservations for lunch. Thanks!
My husband and I had dinner there one night last October. It was excellent!
We had the degustation (chef's daily tasting menu) - $65 per person w/out wine - and it was incredible. Of course, us being who we are we added the wine pairings and the grand marnier souffle, and some coffee...
If you have the time and the inclination I highly recommend the tasting menu. The wait staff told us that it changes daily, and all I can say is WOW!
We're planning on going back for dinner again this May when we have a long weekend booked at Portofino.
This was a few years ago, as I doubt we will be going as a family any time soon; But the food was outstanding and we loved the restaurant itself. You have to try it!!!
We have been twice and had the Menu de Degustation both times. The first time we actually just popped in late afternoon to see if they had anything available later that evening - and they did! We were seated at the bar by the kitchen, it was great to see everything being cooked. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us talking about the different wines. And the food...gorgeous!!
The second time we had booked in advance and were seated in a very private spot upstairs, in a small window niche facing CityWalk and the parks. The food was just as brilliant, however we didn't see as much of the sommelier this time.
I would thoroughly recommend Emerils to anyone who enjoys good food!
I ate there last October, walked in around 5:00 and was able to be seated at the bar. My meal was incredible, and I'm looking forward to eating there again.
