What if you found out someone was threatening to commit suicide?
I found out someone on youtube is, and its scaring me to death.
Even though I dont know her, it is still bugging me.

Really, the most you can do is support her (even if you don't know her), and give her information to hotlines of people who can help her.

Let her know that any hospital will take her in immediately if she voices her thoughts of suicide, no matter what financial situation she's in. Let her know there is always someone who is going to care about her.

My sister was talking about commiting suicide if she wasn't allowed to sleep round her friend's house yesterday In the end, my parents gave in and let her go (and my other sister, though she kept begging and pleading)

She rarely says things like that and when she does, it's usually running away if she doesn't get her own way -_- Hate it when she acts like a spoiled brat.

I'm not saying this is the case for all people but I have this friend who always say shes "going to commit suicide" i've tried helping her numerous times but she really does it for attention. When she does it now I just tell her "okay then, you do that". But if you think its serious, then offer her some help.

Talk to her! My friend almost commited suicide earlier this year. She didn't tell any of us, but we recognized the depression. In the end it was her brother who got through to her. He just simply complimented her and told he rhow much he loved her, and thats what made her realize what a selfish decision suicide is. Its so tragic, she carried around her suicide note for weeks before anyone realized there was a problem. Im glad her brother was there for her at the right time.

That's terrible, it's not something you should joke about. You got to be there for her, and try to help her in anyway you can, tell her about the hotlines, the hospitals, and convince her of all the great things about her, and that people love her, and would never want her to do anything like that.

When I was a bit younger, I was thinking about suicide. But somebody helped me out of it, and now I can't even believe I though about doing something like that.

1. Thank you, I was beginning to think I was going insane there for a moment. Im not the type of person to just yell randomly like that, and espically at a post George made (I have nothing against you George, not at all)
