I can't seem to find a contact number to leave with my parents & cat sitters while we're away. Does anyone know how they can get a message to us on the Wonder?
Thank you!

Is that counter for your cruise?

The number IS in the little booklet of cruise documents you should have gotten by now if you're going that shortly.

If you're going later, when you get the booklet, my best advice is read it cover to cover, and fill out the documents in the booklet before you go, You'll learn a lot from it, then your check-in will go very smoothly too :D

I believe I have also seen emergency numbers on the DCL website under the FAQs.

I believe this is the number we gave our folks. It's on page 21 of our old Passport to the Disney Wonder.

1-888-DC-AT-SEA

Hope this helps.
Tina :)

just a quick FYI....

in case you are Canadian....

there is a separate # for us and the DC at sea one does NOT work from Canada.

Thanks everyone!

I finally found the # in the passport thing. It's not exactly obvious! It's still on page 21. The last time we cruised (not DCL) the numbers were on a separate flyer, so they were easy to find :)

I had been just wondering this myself!, Dave I should of known to look at your site ;).

I don't suppose the internet cafe has an email address so they could receive emergency emails?. ie NOT 'missing you' type messages. Just a thought, I'm a cheapskate lol!. Plus I don't want to start up my online addiction while on the cruise, lol. I'm unable to JUST check email, without coming here and various other places, and then what do you know..... its 2 hours later!. Do that everyday?!?.

I always get the unlimited package when we cruise, because, the same as you, I always do more than just get my email. I at least check in here! :D

It is the easiest and most reliable way to keep in touch with home.

Back to the books- The first thing to do when you get the documents is to get a tall glass of your favorite beverage, a nice comfy chair with a good source of light, and give up the block of time needed to read them thru. So many answers can be found in those little booklets just for the time taken to read them.

Regarding at home emergencies while on the cruise -

Last February (2002), we were at sea when our adult son ended up at the ER in Texas. My Mother called us "shore to ship" and we were able to get all the information. She called Disney directly and they patched her through. Disney Cruise Cast Members went out of their way to locate us and get us to the nearest phone. Everyone was wonderful - most especially the Disney Vacation Cast Members (Carol Ann - she was our angel). Fortunately our son recovered and is well now.

It's comforting to know that if there is an emergency, Disney helps out!
