Ladies and Moms in particular...though all are welcome to respond...

I need your help.

I have joined an FE group. It's a rather small one (thankfully), so that means my per room budget is a bit more than a 20 stateroom FE group (mine is 11 staterooms...still a LOT of gifts!)

I've mostly got consumables (candies, and the like) and small stuff. A few items for birthday kids, and the like...but, I have one group that is really giving me the uff...

I have 2 14 year old girls in my group.

I have NO idea what to give them.

I thought about one mid level gift (around $10 - $15) each, being some waterproof bluetooth speakers that can pair to their phone...but, my kiddo still being 10 (nearly 11, oh my how the time flies) I really have no idea what a 14 year old girl would even be remotely interested in aside from gift cards and electronics?

I am perfectly fine with giving "nostalgic" gifts (one of the things I'm giving to the kids is Mad Libs, but that's a bit below 14, I think, so these are in a group of their own).

Any ideas? Thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

My 14 yo DD is all about lotions, body wash etc from Bath and Body Works and also as pp said, anything nail related. Her and her friends are always doing each others nails. They also love all the earrings from Claire's. Oh yeah, and gum, the sweeter the better.

As some alternatives, my 15yo DD is all about books and writing, so bookmarks, book light, journals, pens, etc. Also, any little tchotchke (pens, buttons, socks) from Hot Topic (store focuses on pop culture like Dr Who, Supernatural, Sherlock) is beyond cool with my DD and her friends. Hope it helps!

Depending on how much you want to spend, there are some really cute Jamberry nail wraps too. You'd have to find someone who sells them. I think they run about $15/sheet.

What about something like jamberry or goscratchit.com - cool nail wraps. On Sunday's, goscratchit has wrap sets for as low as $3, selected ones, but still cool designs.

I completely agree with PP on the nail stuff... get on pinterest and see what they have (Mickey Mani or Minnie Mani). Also, maybe a journal with a cool pen? Seashell necklace and/or earrings? Anchor bracelet?

If you're somewhat crafty, look on Pinterest for "diy nautical rope bracelet". We're sailing with a group of 19 and doing a private FE group. We'll have 2 15-year-old girls in our group and this is one of the gifts I'm giving them, along with tank tops with the DCL logo embroidered on them (though I'm only able to do that because I know them personally so I know their sizes.)

14 year old girls like candy, too. ;) The B&BW stuff is probably the easiest and best bet. Some DD favorites were Mickey Mouse nail stickers, Mickey Mouse ear buds and...candy! :cutie:

Are you spending $10-$15 per person? I'm a first time cruiser and we are joining an FE and have no idea what to expect.

Some people spend a lot of money on FE gifts, but I'd say the majority spend far less than $10 per person. I did a stateroom gift that worked out to between $4 and $5 per stateroom.

It depends on how big your group is and how much you can spend. I budget about $150 at the most. It's worked out to be around $5 a cabin for me as well.

No. Not 10 to 15 per person. Not even close.

First, I am in a rather small group (11 rooms). I havent crunched the final numbers, but Id guess it averages to something like $3 a person with mlre spent for the three birthdays and on these 14 year olds.

I'm doing "Minnie Manicure Sets" for the teens and tweens in our FE in September. OPI had a line of Minnie Mouse nailpolish not too long ago and I was able to find a couple of bottles from an online retailer for them.
