Hi all,
Got off the plane, took DME to the Poly, dropped out carry-ons in the room and headed over to Epcot in search of character spots & dinner at the Akershus. Well, turns out our Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens decided to stop focusing inside of 10 feet. Not good. Even manual focus won't bring it in any closer. It would be one thing if we were trying to photodocument the parks, but this is the first time for our 4 and 2 year olds so it's all about them.
Our other lens is a Canon 85mm f/1.8, clearly the wrong one for close up shots (especially on the XTi with its 1.6x zoom over FF sensors).
We're pretty desperate. We called the Poly's front desk and they said that the Kodak store @ Magic Kingdom sold lenses (?!?!). So, 2 questions: Does the Kodak Store @ MK actually sell Canon lenses? If not, where's the closest place?
