Can anyone tell me about this stuff?
What is your opinion?
Do you take it everyday as a preventive or only when you are feeling sick?
Does it have negative stomach effects?
Can kids take it? How young?

Thanks for whatever you can tell me. :flower3:

Hi there,

I have only taken it a few times and that was when I was sick. To be honest it didn't really do much for me. Maybe it was because I was already sick and the cold had to run it's course. I don't know. I work with a girl that takes it when she feels like she might be getting sick or if someone close to her is sick and it seems to help her get not get sick.

It never really affected my stomach or anything, didn't taste bad either. Not sure if it's safe for kids, I don't have any so I don't know. Sorry

Hope this helps!

Jamie

We were introduced to Emergen-C by my kids' swim coach, who holds several world records in swimming and her then husband, the only guy to win the Ironman triathlon 6 times. I only add that because they are world class athletes where nutrition and fitness are so important to what they do and they are gurus at it. They highly recommended Emergen-C when starting to feel down.

We keep a box around and take it when we feel a cold coming on. Our kids have taken it. Our 12 year old likes the lemon the best.

It does seem to help, but it could just be psychosomatic.

Thanks for the info.
I think I'll call the doc and see if he has an opinion on dose for the kids. My doc actually thinks vitamins are good. I know some who do not.

Hi teacups.

I SWEAR by this product. I mix two packets each morning and take my meds with it. If I feel a cold coming on I will have an additional packet or two in the early to mid afternoon. My favorite flavors are raspberry and tangerine; I mix together one packet of each ! I've been taking Emergen-C for a couple of years now. My son also takes it - one packet in the morning; he's 14.

Hope that helps.....good luck !

I just ordered some online. :) Just couldnt wait!
I went on to thier site, found a kids version, got free samples... and then went to Vitamine Shoppe and just placed an order.

I'm fairly impatient.

THANKS FOR ALL THE OPINIONS!! :thumbsup2

I love the tangerine.

They also have an immune formula that I usually keep on hand in the winter but we are out. I also like their electro mix.

I think Emergen-C is great stuff as well. I don't take it on a daily basis like some people do, but I take it when I feel like I'm fighting something. There is a children's version as well. I order mine online to get a better deal (seacoastvitamins.com), and just stock up every so often. I'm getting ready to place an order now, as we're heading into cold and flu season. I also think it's a lot better than airborne.

I take 2 packs of the "Joint Health Tangerine alomst every day. I add more when feeling run down. Love it!!
