Emerald Reserve at National ???????

Just wondering if anyone has used Emerald Reserve for full size car at National ??? For just three dollars more I was able to reserve full size vs. intermediate. What cars do they usually have available in this aisle ? Is it true I can bypass the counter ????

I used Emerald Reserve for a full size last year. We got a Grand Prix. You go directly to the garage, skip the counter.

We used it twice last year. We used it in Oct and Dec. It was great. You just walk down the aisle to the sections that says FULL SIZE and choose a car. I think we had an Impala and/or a Buick Century. Those generally are the only 2 full size cars we have ended up with lately. We started using Emerald Reserve last year after being extremely disappointed with the selection on the Emerald Aisle during our trips in May and then again in July. I do believe EA has gotten better, but if you absolutely need a full size car, ER is the only way to go.

We did Emerald Reserve last summer for a mini-van rental and we'll be using it again in April for a full-size rental. It basically works just like the Emerald Aisle except that you have a specific car type that you have guaranteed and waiting for you.

We used Emerald Reserve for our last two trips to WDW. The first time we got a Monte Carlo and this past January, they sent us to the Executive Aisle and we ended up with a Buick LaCross. What a beautiful car. We're planning on getting a new car shortly and we're very interested in purchasing one of those. Very, very pleased with the experience.

There were National employees asking the people what they had reserved than sending them to the aisles. For some reason, even though I said we had rented a full size, she sent us to the Executive Aisle. I'm not complaining though. We really enjoyed driving that car.

Thanks for all your replies. One last question, If there is something I like in the Emerald aisle and I have full size rental reserved will they let you pick from the EA ? Some people were able to get the Jeep Cherokee on the EA, I wonder if they ever have this vehicle on the full size aisle ?????

Not unless the Jeep Cherokee is considered a full size vehicle.

If you reserve a full size, you get to pick from the full size aisle only.

AFAIK, they never put SUVs on the full size aisle. If you really want one, reserve an SUV. You'll still get Emerald Reserve service and have your choice of any SUV in the SUV aisle.

In January I had a full size ER reserved and when we got there they man told us to pick off the Executive Aisle.. got a great Trailblazer for 117.00 for the week!! great SUV!!!
never even saw the full size isle to see what was there.. lol

Hoping that will happen to me in October !!!!!!!!!!!!! Wishing for a Jeep Cherokee and a nice lot attendant !!!!! If not I still got a fabulous rate for a full size................
