If you join Emerald Isle, can you still by-pass the counter if you have requested a specific car, lets say a mini-van, and are you still guarenteed one? We will be picking up our mini-van at the airport Friday Oct. 8 ( a holiday weekend). What happens if they say they don't have any more available. I don't really want a huge car as we are going to be putting a lot of miles on and the gas prices are so high.

It's called Emerald Club. With Emerald Club, you bypass the counter for any rental EXCEPT if you use a upgrade coupon, then you'll have to go to the counter.

If you reserve anything other than an Intermediate, it's call an Emerald Reserve ressies. If you reserve an Intermediate, then you'll get an Emerald Aisle ressies.

If you rent a mini-van then you'll have an Emerald Reserve ressies and you just head to the mini-van aisle. I haven't got a clue what they'll give you if they are out of mini-vans??
