Hi all- Just booked a villa at Emerald Island. Chose a property that is in the "all Built" section, not too far from the clubhouse. Anyone ever stayed there? Anything in particular that you would like to share with us?. Best place to get groceries? I understand there is a backroad to the Magic Kingdom that cuts down a bit on the traffic. Any comments are appreciated!

I am also looking at EI. condo.

What website did you book thru? How do you know its an older unit?

We found it on vrbo.com. I called the owner and we discussed several homes they have there. One of the things that was important to us was that we didn't want to be in the immediate area of the new home building. Fortunately they had a home that had all the building around it completed. I don't know about the condos as to how finished they are. Best bet it probably to get feedback from the owner. Good Luck. It really looks very nice from the pictures.

Hi all, you have found an owner. The best place I found for groceries is the publix on 192 west heading towards 27. A very quiet area vs. going east. Here is a map of 192. EIR is right off Formosa Gardens Blvd. The short cut is Sherberth Rd. also known as Entry Point Blvd.

The Condos have been built for a while. Only the pool home area has some construction. I am sure if you ask the owner they will let you know if they live near any construction. If you want to look at some pics of the resorts club house I have some on my site. They also have a tennis and volley ball court that I do not have pics of. I would love to hear from you when you get back. Hope you all love the time you spend there. Any more questions you can pm me.

Rented a home there in Feb and loved it. Going back to EI next Feb (although in a different home since the other home has already been booked).

Location was great, always took the Sherbeth Rd Shortcut and went to the Publix for groceries. Let me know if you have any other questions

We stayed there last July in the Enclave section. Our home was absolutely gorgeous! We had our own pool so we did not use the resort pool but everything was very nice and it was very private and quiet. We also shopped at Publix and did not find that they were any more expensive than what we pay at home. We will definitely rent there again. I found the house on floridavacations.com

Here is a link to the house we rented if anyone else is interested in EI. The owners are terrific!

isla, could you give more details about this shortcut? Would it help us bypass some of the 192 congestion when we try to get to I-4 going to Universal? We're staying in Acadia Estates. Thanks!
