Emerald Island Resort

We're thinking of staying in a villa at Emerald Island - anybody got any comments on it before we commit?

We've booked our villa for next year - in Emerald Island resort!!!
Really looking forward to it - seems to be a good location, from what I've read and the comments from the DIS.

It won't be any help to you but we've booked a villa on Emerald Island Resort for October!

It is the only resort apart fromWindsor Palms that has this many community features,like a combination of hotel with your own villa and pool! We've stayed on WP twice and loved it but wanted to give EI a try

I'd like to hear from someone who has stayed there too!

We WERE going to be staying at Emerald Island on our next trip - next week!

However, a few weeks ago we were informed by our agent that the owner had withdrawn their property from the rental market. We were really disappointed as it looks great!

Anyway, we were offered Windsor Palms instead, and have accepted it, Bu I would be interested to know which one people think is the best.

You won't be disappointed in any way with Windsor Palms,it isn't possible!

Hi, my brother and his family stayed at Emerald Island over Christmas 2003 for 3 weeks - in their opinion it was an excellent resort in an excellent location.

FAO, Juliebro we're off on our "1st" trip to WDW in May and have got a villa at Windsor Palms. Let us know what its like when you return...........oh, and have a great holiday.............

Thanks Karen. It's reassuring that you think Windsor Palms is good. To be honest, we were very unsure about it when we were offerered it instead of Emerald Island - as we were a bit uncertain about staying in an apartment, rather than a villa.

Anyway, I'm a lot happier about it now.

Getting really excited now!!!

I stayed at Emerald Island Resort in January this year.
In my opinion, this is a fantastic place to stay.
Lovely homes and very neat and tidy surroundings.
The clubhouse is a nice place and the staff very friendly and helpful. There is a gym and internet access amongst other things.
Literally 2 minutes drive to the restaurants and shops and 5 minutes to Disney.
We stayed in a 6 bedroomed house in Secret Key Cove.
Would stay there again
