Has anyone any feedback for staying at Emerald Island Resort? We have a great opportunity to rent a villa in this gated community but not sure how close it is to the 192 or if walking distance to any restaraunts or shops? We also have spotted a lovely villa at rolling Hills which is just south of Formosa Gardens and that looks liek a great location however we can get the EIR one for £300 for week which is a fab bargain as far as I can see :dance3:

EI is a fantastic resort, we first stayed here in 2007 and loved it. We loved the proximity to Disney. It's not within walking distance to any restaurants however it is just a short drive to Formosa gardens blvd, they have a few restaurants here including a chinese and an outback

yeah I stayed there in 2008, loved the resort, really close to the 192 and disney, bit more of a drive to universal but I've stayed in southern dunes before on the 27 so this was a short walk in the park compared to that

stayed there and a few more Around the same area, great resort great location, theres a store a tgi and outback (mmmmm blooming onion)within 2 mins driving distance among others......

Yep, we stayed on EI in Feb and it was fab. We have also stayed on Formosa Gardens which we are returning to next year. Both communities are great and wouldn't hesitate to return to either. As previously mentioned, nothing within walking distance but the 192 with all it's restaurants and supermarkets is literally two
minutes away! Great location! Sorry for typo's, I'm in my iPhone!

Ali :-D

Great location - just behind the old Splendid China....

When we went a few years ago the clubhouse was a bit ropey though...

As you will see from my signature, we've stayed there a few times.

Clubhouse is fine - although we don't tend to spend much time in it. We just pop in occasionally to ask the odd question.

We usually rent on Crystal Cove Loop - the part of EI that's on the left before you go over the bridge and through the barrier. It has coded security gates and a separate pool. The properties are townhouses rather then detached villas, but it's all immaculately maintained including the gardens and pathways etc.

The price you have got is excellent.

Not much to add except that we stayed there in 2008 and were very happy. :thumbsup2

Oh, and we got on/off property via the Sherberth Road, which only becomes the obvious thing to do once you've looked at a map :rolleyes1
