Emerald Island or Grand Palms

[I posted this before - but it went into cyberspace. If its a duplicate, that is why!]
6 of us - 2 children under 10 and 2 older teens looking to rent a 3br condo/pool home end of August. Tried to find Sea World area, but nothing in my price range. Did find one at Emerald Island and one at Grand Palms (Coral Palms Court). Experiences, feedback? We are newbies and want to do this right! Thanks for your input!

Hi, first of all welcome, sounds like a great vacation. There are really no housing developement north and east of Disney toward Sea World but you will have easy access to I-4 from most any of the developements west and just south of Disney...

EI and GP are really pretty close to each other...GP is an older condo only area that should be very reasonably priced. I am not aware of any homes in Grand Palms...
EI is very nice with lots of homes and condos...For your crew there a lots of options with 3 or 4 bedrooms and 2-3 baths...Condos at EI go up to 4/3 and are pretty reasonably priced and have a basic but nice pool and spa and clubhouse...For your group, a 4/3 might be just a little more and give you more bathrooms which I think is the key to a peaceful week with a variety of ages. Grand Palms I would expect to be a little more budget priced...

Thanks for the reply. How far a drive to Sea World and Universal from either location?

Depending on traffic, allow 15 mins or so to Seaworld. Universal is a bit further away, so allow 25-30 mins.

Both are an easy drive, but if going to Universal, watch your speed. (DH got ticketed on one drive up there )
