Emerald Club should I be worried

I joined the National Emerald Club in January. I still haven't received my Emerald Club Card. I've emailed them twice and they said no worries we'll have it to you soon. Do you have to have the card to pick up your rental? We don't leave until December but I'm a world champion worry wart.

You shouldn't have a problem. I've booked with national EC about a dozen times and have never had to show my card. Think I even tried to give the person the card once but they didn't want it.

If you booked your car online through the EC website, your reservation should say either Emerald Isle or Emerald Reserve (depending on what you are reserving). That is all they seem to need. Make sure you take a copy of your reservation with you.

All they should really need is the EC number - I assume you have that or you wouldn't have been able to book EA or ER service.

We only give them a credit card, a drivers' license and a coupon (if we are using one). That's all we've ever needed.

And I agree that you should take a copy of your reservation - haven't ever needed it to pick up the car, but it sure came in handy one year when the charge (when we returned it) was WAY more than the reservation said. They fixed it, but it took a while and I was very glad I had the confirmation letter. Difference was more than $100!
