Emerald Aisle rental or DME?

This may be a "no brainer" but I'm not sure what I want to do. I have DME booked to take DH and me from the airport on a Wed. evening (9:15 pm) to the POP resort. And then we were going to pick up a rental from WCCC Friday morning and take it back to the airport to return it. WELL, thanks to these boards, I found a better contract ID for my rental and we could pick up the rental at MCO (out of the Emerald Aisle) and take it to the resort and have it the whole time for only $24 more. Do I want to take DME to get the Disney feeling right off the bat (we used DME back in Oct and liked it), or do I want to go ahead and get the rental so we don't have to wait on the bus? We'll have carry on's so the luggage is not an issue. Have never used Emerald Aisle at MCO - is that an ordeal or easy? Thanks for any opinions or advice! :cool1:

we stayed at POP in dec and rented a car. I dontlike waiting for the buses and didnt wanna worrying about getting ME back to the airport. We did take ME to the POP and then got our car at the AAA car care center, we saved over 100 bucks and it only took 30 the shuttle picked him up at the resort

Thanks Alicnwondrln for the response. I originally booked our car rental to be picked up at WCCC to save oodles of money too, but for only $24 more we can now pick it up at MCO and have it for another day and a half. DH has decided he'd rather do that.

So my next question:
Is National's Emerald Aisle easy to find and get to at MCO? We'll be flying Delta and be on side B if that makes any difference. Should it take long to get to our car?

Get your luggage and then head to level 1. Just head outside, cross the street and follow the National signs and then the sign for the EA. It's usually the first aisle you come across. Pick a car, pack up, and then head to the booth. Give your license, coupon, and your CC. Then you are off.

Thanks beattyfamily for the quick response. It sounds easy enough, hopefully I won't find a way to make it difficult! ;) We're only taking carry on luggage, so hopefully this will be a little quicker than taking DME.

I would absolutely go with the EA rental & skip the DME. I noticed you mention an anniversary trip in your countdown, not sure what you have planned, but if you wanted to visit a resort restaurant you could just hop in your car & get there quickly rather than waiting on line for buses and transfers.

The process is super simple, just as beattyfamily described, my elderly neighbor just got back from WDW and used EA for the 1st time, she said it was a piece of cake! And she's 87! :)

Excellent point! We do have a Segway Tour lined up for 8:30 the morning following our arrival. :faint: (that's going to be a little early for me coming from CST  )

I'm feeling better and better about this, thank you! :sunny:
