Emerald Aisle Club Questions

Does joining the club give you a better rate or just the convenience? ALso, if we are already using the Disney Club contract number, can it be used in conjunction with the EA discount (if there is an EA discount)? Thanks.

They are no longer giving a discount for Emerald Club, you can use your Disney Club discount with it though (and the free day coupon if staying over a Saturday night). I like it for the convenience, no stopping at the counter. I always reserve full size, it's the same price as intermediate. Then if there is not a car I like on the EA, I go to the full size aisle.

Do you need to show your DC card when you exit? I received my EC card with the MKC. I haven't renewed it yet but I guess I'll need to before I pick up my car.

They may or may not ask to see your Disney Club card. They asked to see ours and the booth person also asked for, and kept the printouts of the pages we had used to obtain the the DC contract & coupon discount, Emerald Club cards, Credit Card,Disney Club card United card, etc.. It would probably be better to have everything they might ask for, then not. She kept asking for things, and I just kept handing them to her. We received our quoted price and discounts, without any "other" problems.

Just thought I'd mention this...according to their web site, Emerald Club is not available at Orlando Airport (MCO). Is it available at the WDW location?

Don't know about the website, but we all use Emerald Aisle at Orlando Airport.

RobinLyn, the confusion may come when you choose your style of car. Certain types will generate a warning that Emerald Aisle is not available for that type of vehicle. I got this warning a couple of times when I was checking out different rates. My reservation says "Level of service is Emerald Aisle."

Another bo-bo I made was to reserve a car with the one click option when I didn't mean to. I just cancelled out and redid it. I got a standard (which was offered for the same price as intermediate) car for a week for $190 ($240 out the door) for the last week in October. I know, it's a long time away, but it's done and if I find a better rate, I'll change it. It gives me something to do until we leave.

Finally, I was able to join Emerald Aisle Club free using the link provided at Mousesavers.com.

I got an Emerald Club discount. First I called and was told that EC was for full-size and above - so I called back at reg 800 # because I wanted to use my Entertain. Club 2 class upgrade coupon (paying for compact, getting standard) - got rate of 235. for 9 days - then called EC and explained that I wanted to use my coupon - got rate of 224. and she never questioned car class. When I checked online for print out of my ressie there is a 10% discount-since all the other rates on both ressies were identical, Im assuming that this must be an EC discount. Not a bad rate, but I will keep looking - BTW, we're going at very slow time - end of Aug.- keep trying.
