Embellishment Swap Sign ups

I'd like to be #10 in group 5C Anything goes. I've never done this before and I'm here because Diana let me know about it. I've become slightly :lmao: addicted to this craft.

Thanks!

How many items do we send? 10? or 10 baggies with lots in each?

It depends on what you are sending, these are per person so if there are 10 in your group you would need 10 pieces including 1 for yourself.

you can pick anything in the {}
Examples:

fiber/ribbons - 2 yards per person. Can be {2 yards of ribbon}, {2 yards of fiber} or {1 of each}. So you would need 20 yards, cut into 2 yard lengths and put into 10 baggies.

eyelets and brads - {10 small brads} or {5 big/shaped brads} or {10 eyelets} or {5 shaped eyelets}
say you pick 10 small brads, you would need 100 small brads and then divide those up into 10 brads in each baggie, 1 for each person in your group.

buttons, tiles, or acrylic tags - {10 small} or {5 large buttons} or {5 tiles} or {5 acryllic tags}.
You would pick 1, say 5 large buttons you would need 50 and then divide those up into 5 in each baggie, 1 baggie for everyone in your group.

Etc.... down the line. Under the group #'s you'll see a description of the items needed and the amount you'll need.

You would mail them all to your hostess including your own. It makes it easier to divide back up. You will then get back 1 item from each person in your group, including your own.

I really hope I didn't confuse you even more! LOL

Thanks so much for explaining that! One more, I hope not too silly, question...how do we know where to send it to, I didn't see an address posted in that first post. TIA.

PBLM (PoohBearLovinMama) will send you a PM and she will give you her address. We don't publicly post addresses, e-mails, and phone numbers for privacy.

And it's not a silly question!

Yes, and yes. I am leaning towards primas for my other anything goes, but I'm not sure yet.

Okay, you're all set then. :)

Good thing Swap Goddess Buffy was here last night to explain everything. I got a little distracted with all of my DVR'd shows. :rolleyes1

Ilene, you are all set for the anything goes group. :)

Okay, how many prima flowers per person? And how many if we include the brad for the flower?

OK, I've started my shopping. Here's what I have so far:

Group 1B: red/black ribbon
Group 2B: primary round brads
Group 5B: bright brads

Still more shopping to do! :goodvibes

For my metals slot, I'll be doing shaped charms with brads.

Is there a "price point/person" we are aiming for? Seeing as I've not done this before can someone give an example of what an anything goes packet would consist of...just an idea?

I'm going to give you a link to a website that has tons of brads and eyelets. There really isn't a price point per say. Small brads are overall less expensive but you have to buy more of them. You can find brads, eyelets, and yarn at Michael's, ACMoore, Hobby Lobby etc. But this store had pictures I could post. I hope this helps!

Here are some examples along with the number you will have to have.

tape and ribbon, novelty, eyelash and fur. 20 yards cut into 2 yard sections

buttons- any buttons are good but you have to cut the shanks off the back. People usually pick a color and have several shades for each person. 100 small or 50 large divided by 10

Do really ppl really want furry yarns? Do you use them on pages?
I'm a knitter so I've tons of furry yarns..that's not a problem.

Thanks for the helpful info!

I've never used fuzzy yarn on a scrapbook page, but I'm more of a clean and simple scrapbooker. I haven't seen much of it in the 2peas gallery or at the crops that I teach/work.

I love furry yarn. I use it on tags. I wrap it around photo mats. I've seen wrapped around toppers & boarders. I've glued it around squares & journals boxes. Yup, I love all fiber.

I LOVE furry yarns. I use them for tags, glue them down on my page to make journal "boxes" or frame pictures and separate sections of the page and will sometimes use them to make flowers, hearts, etc.

Have we decided how many prima flowers we are sending each?

When we did the Prima Swap before, we did 10 of the big ones per person, 20 of the medium and 30 small. I was planning to follow that guideline.
