Embassy Vacation Resort Grand Beach

Like many of you I have been trying to find a place to stay near WDW. (This is my annual birthday trip. Last year we stayed at the Grand Floridian-this year I am opting to stay off property because I want more for my dollar.)

I finally decided on the Embassy Vacation Resorts Grand Beach. I have read reviews and it seems like a quality place. I am looking for a clean spacious place with a screened-in porch and a jacuzzi and this place appears to have all that.

Please give me any and all impressions.

Especially look at the one labeled, "2bedroom suite/rental recommendation"........that one has pictures.

Embassy is one of the places I want to stay at. They have 3 bedrooms and sometimes they are offered on Skyauction. They get good reviews on here for the most part. Try looking on tripadvisor.com also.

this is a nice resort.

It is not up to DVC, Marriott, or HGVC standards.

they have had trouble with the management - I am not even certain now who the management is.

Thanks for the input. I've already checked Trip Advisor and searched The Dis boards and read the reviews (and looked at the photos.)

Anyone else have an experience they would like to share?

We stayed there about a year ago and liked it. The two master suites were very large. The third bedroom, living room and kitchen are on the small side, but adequate.

The staff was extremely friendly. We didn't participate in any of the activities, except when the kids went down to watch the movie at the pool. They thought the big screen made the picture sort of distorted.

The porch was very nice. We saw hot air balloons flying by while sitting there one morning, so I ran down the stairs in my sockfeet to take pictures.

The location is very good. We found locating the driveway a bit tricky the first time, but no problem after that.

We enjoyed our stay there. It was quiet, the pool was nice, and the rooms were great. One silly thing that affected our view was the kitchen tile. I know, really silly, but it was laid so that rough edges showed. We had to wear our socks the whole time to avoid wracking our feet!

We really enjoyed the Embassy, however! Have a great trip.

These RSG auctions usually go for $50 so that's $260 for the week. Yeeee-haaaaaaa!! Dec. 9th or Dec. 10th for the week. Drats! I wish I could use it. Oh well, maybe someone else can use it on here.

I'm sorry, lawgs, I guess after a while the page clears itself. On that page, put in Dec. 3rd check in and Dec. 10th check in...........it comes up for Dec. 9th check in and Dec. 10th check in. It's still there as of 1am.

yes we saw it today.....great deal for someone if they can use it....

we exchanged into it last year in january, but it had just lost its GC status due to some "disagreement" between sunterra and RCI ( when we booked it, it said it was GC but by the time we got there it was down to a RID )
