Has anyone stayed at the embassy suites hotel at the airport? I really like the embassy suites chain but I know that the quality of the hotels can vary widely. Any info would be great. Thanks!

 I just love this banana!

We stayed there last year before our cruise and stay there again in Jan. before the next one. It was very nice, we like the the breakfast in morning before we leave for the port. I'd say go for it.

beachpal; Like you our family love the embassy suites. Can beat the price with breakfast included.

We did stay at the one near the airport and sad to say this was this one was subpar for an Embassy. Front desk service and breakfast was slow and bad. The room could do with some updating.

I had a problem with the bill over charge and they almost did not want to take it off despite I had proof that we did not use the service.

To be fair it may have been an off day for them, but having stayed at Embassy all over the country I was surprise at the level of quality at this hotel. BTW we were there April 2004.

We stayed there pre-cruise on April 1, 2005 and had excellent service. The room was clean, although a bit worn. Housekeeping brought extra towels extremely promptly. The kids loved swimming in the pool at night and thought it was warm. We ate dinner in their restaurant and had the best meal of the cruise - - which is amazing for a hotel.

Is this the Embassey in Orlando, or Anaheim? I just made ressies in Anaheim for all the reasons listed above! I hope we aren't disappointed with our choice.

That is a good question Mommyuf3. I was asking about the one near the Orlando ariport. I will be more specific next time!

I am not sure what to do. I have a while to decide. Our cruise is not until November. Thanks for the info everyone!

 There's that banana again!

We stayed at the Embassy Suites near MCO last Sept. IMO it was a good hotel for the price. Nothing super nice..but by no means a Motel 6. They offered a free shuttle from the airport to hotel..which is one of the things we were looking for when booking. The restraunt was great...we had dinner there the night before..and breakfast the morining of...and yes I will say they were not super fast..but the food was GREAT. The room and hotel for that matter could use some updating...mostly the rooms...but they were nice not shabby...and very comfortable. But then again...part of it could have been the hurricane dammage that just happened the week before.. The pool was wonderful...we had the whole thing to ourselves... One other point we enjoyed was the managers reception.....with free drinks (cocktails and beer...they may have offered wine also..I just don't remember) So with the shuttle service, drinks in the evening, the great pool, breakfast to order all included...you can't beat the price.
