Embarrasing but neccessary question

We are experiencing what I hope is only temporary financial difficulties this month. So my April DVC loan payment is late and may not be paid until the first week of May My house payment must come first! So, I spoke to DVC accounting and was told my Sept vacation WILL NOT be canceled because of late payment as long as my dues are paid on time. Is this info correct? Thanks much

I believe the answer they gave you is correct.
DVC won't start any proceedings until you're 3 months behind (payments). We went through the same situation, and all went well.

Just to let others know, you can change you payment due date to later in the month if that helps. I recently had to move our payment so that it doesn't get taken out at the same time as the mortgage. The CM was very helpful. Good Luck!

It doesn't matter what we think, your contract is with Disney. I would hate to have you depend on our answer only to be disappointed should something go wrong.

I would make sure that you document your conversion with Disney and try to get something in writing.

If you think that you may need to sell, do it now, the process could take awhile and you don't need the pressure.

Thanks guys..I hope I never have to sell my DVC we just had some unexpected bills this month. MS did tell me that Disney does not provide any "hardship" assistance, but they would not take any actions until a payment was 3 months late. I was asking on the DIS because I know the info I get here is often more reliable that what you can get from CM's. I just want to make sure they don't cancel our reservations in Sept. MY DH's family is going with us, a total of 9 people, staying at our fav place BWV I would feel terrible if it got canceled and I disappointed everyone.

Have you thought of renting some of your points to help with the financial hardship? I have rented some of my points a few times and having that extra cash is nice. I was lucky that I didn't have the financial hardship situation, but I wanted to take a Disney cruise and it was cheaper to rent the points and pay cash for the cruise. However, I have always said that if I ever get in a bind, the first thing I will do is rent.
