I'm getting my act together for our cruise next week. Since I haven't been on a cruise in a while I have a question. At this point I put my luggage tags on the luggage. Paperwork will be my passport, drivers license, the check-in signature form and the booklet sent to us about a month ago (that had our luggage tags in it). Am I missing anything?

No.

Well, a credit card.

Good thing you said that lol. My luck I would have forgotten it. Another question, if I may. I just looked at my online check-in signature form. It's my credit card, we are using. They want my husbands signature to guarantee that he assume responsibility for both him and myself. The second page has our signatures for the DCL contract. Is that normal that even though it's my cc that my husband would sign and take financial responsibility?

During the online check in process you can select who you want to be the lead responsible person, as far as I can recall. Is your husband's name on the credit card account? If not, I'm not sure how that would work for him to be the responsible person for both of you.

Yes, that is normal. I always use my CC but because his name is primary on the reservation, they will ask for his signature as responsibility. Then mine goes on there as well as both of ours for our 2 teens.
Lots of signatures. :)

Sounds like you are ready to sail.

Make sure you keep all the paper work on you, not in your luggage. The booklet is not necessary to board the ship.

I am the main person always was always will be :) JK but I am the lead person. I'll go back and make sure everything is OK. I figured it out. I checked something off on my husband's onboard credit that I shouldn't have. I reprinted and all is good.

On September 16th, the first guard before we even got directed to parking, asked to see our booklet. It was the first time in all our cruises but did not happen a week later when we checked in for that cruise.
Evidently, some of the folks at the gate ask and others don't. It sure held up the line though. lol
