DH and I will be cruising with 12 other family members on July 10.Most of us will be boarding early. What are the absolute "must" things we need to sign up for immediately. One son,his wife and my 2 Granddaughters ( age 4 and 1 ) will be boarding later. First of all can I sign up for them ,say for the Spa, Palo's or Flounders res ?

Palos reservations

tea with Wendy

wine tasting

STROLLER for 1 year old (free, but they run out, use it on excursions)

Spa reservations

Marklem, What is the wine tasting and when is it?? Do you have to make Ressies for them?
Thanks, Joni :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

On our 7 day western, the wine tasting was offered twice: Monday & Thursday (sea days) from 2:30 -3:30 PM. You need a ticket ($12/person) and you need to get it early on boarding day as they sell out fast. It is conducted by the wine stewards on board. We sampled 3 white wines, 2 reds, and champagne ( a good size sample of each). You learn about wine: smell, taste, grape varieties, taste, and of course, you get to drink them! It was nice.

There were 5-6 no shows, so if you don't get a ticket, see if you can get in at showtime. It's conducted in Sessions on deck 4 forward.

Is it offered on the 4-day Wonder?

What is "Tea with Wendy"?

Tea with Wendy:

My wife took our 8 & 6 year old girls to this. It's held in the family style lounge room on deck 5 (or 4?) midship. You sit with your kids at tables and Wendy from Peter Pan comes out on the stage, does some Wendy "shtick", picks a couple of boys from the audience to be her brothers, and you have tea (soda) and cookies. It's a short show, free but you need a reservation due to space limitations.

I agree with MarkLem about what to see.

You will not be able to sign up the granddaughters unless you are their legal guardians (If their parents are coming you won't be considered as legal guardians even though if your son puts your name on the signout permissions form, you will be able to take the kids to and from the programs (Oceaneer's club and Flounder's).

If you know the cabin numbers for DS & family, you can register them for Tea with Wendy by going to guest services desk soon after boarding. I was able to get all 7 registered (2 cabins) for this without showing anything (even KTTW card).

On our 7 day Western, Palo and the wine tasting reservations wer both made in the Rockin' Bar D. Go and get reservations as soon as you get on the ship. I don't know if you will be able to reserve for others however. Those wine tasting reservations were "sold out" by 1:30 PM. Palo reservations also go fast.

Have fun on your cruise.
