Emailing MS ?

I need to get back with Member Services and let them know who will be in each of our rooms. There are 24 of us total and I was wondering if it would be possible and easier to email them with the confirmation numbers and names of who will be in each room.

When I booked rooms through CRO, before deciding to go back with DVC after all, it took an hour to get the rooms booked and all the names in the system. I really don't want to go through that again.

Do you guys think it would be okay to do this and then give them a call in a few days to check on it to make sure everything was done okay? If it is even possible which way would you think would be easiest for MS?

[SIZE=+0]I think email or fax would work fine.
I mentioned fax, because it might be easier to understand if you typed up a nicely formatted table clearly outlining each reservation# and the names associated with it. It's harder to format something well via email. But w/ fax, you can print something out from your word processor, and fax that over.

The problem with email is sometimes they don't read the email very carefully, they seem to skim it quickly, and then get confused. You have to make sure you're VERY clear in your email. Also, remember to sign your email with:
1. Your name that's on your DVC membership.
2. Your membership#.
3. Your address that's on your DVC membership.
4. Your phone# that's on your DVC membership.

I've had trouble in the past when I didn't include all 4 of those items. They take about 48 hours to reply, and their reply was a pointless: "Thanks for contacting us. You haven't provided us with enough identification information, so we cannot process your request." :sad2: Grr.

However, I still think doing it in writing will be better for everyone. Over the phone will certainly take forever! Anyway, give them 2 business days to work on your request, and then call back to confirm. Good luck![/SIZE]
 
Thanks so much for the suggestion of faxing it to them. That is what I will do. It was such a pain to go through it wuth CRO when I thought we were staying at POFQ, I thought I would never get off the phone! I was not looking forward to doing it all over again with MS.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did go ahead and email MS. IT was absolutely the easiest thing I have done in planning this trip. MS even emailed me back my exact message and told me it was done the next day!

Know I am hoping I can do the same thing in scheduling everyones Magical Express!
