Emailing about great CMs... question...

I know this has been asked a lot, but which email address should I use when emailing about a great CM? I saw that there are two different guest services emails, but wasn't sure which one was more appropriate.

Also, will my email get a CM in trouble? Backstory: My DD left something behind at a restaurant during dinner and we didn't realize it until we got back to the resort. I called and spoke with a great CM at the restaurant podium and we figured out how to meet up the next day. She mentioned that they are supposed to turn in "lost" items to the central Lost & Found every night, but that could be tough for us to get the item back. So, she "hid" the item at the restaurant and we stopped by the restaurant the next day to pick it up. It was really awesome of her and DD would have been so sad if we hadn't been able to get it back. I wanted to email about her great service, but don't want to cause problems

I wouldn't "think" the CM did anything wrong.

Hard to say what would get them in trouble. Perhaps you could word it more generically - that your DD left something in the restaurant and this CM went above and beyond to be sure you got the item back, without saying exactly what she did.

I agree that it's better to word the note more generically, as technically they may have been "violating" WDW policy...even though they were doing a very kind act.

I also think it's wonderful that you're going to take the time to recognize it. I think CMs deserve a lot more credit and thank you than they get. They make such a difference in each and every trip we go on. They're truly pixiedust:
 
Thanks everyone! I'll follow the advice to be generic while being complimentary!

We had a great trip and there are actually two other CMs that made our trip even more magical, so they will be included too!
