Email from teacher re: Holiday Gifts

We made annual donations to the local animal shelter in honor of the faculty and staff and sent a Christmas card to the school office with a note letting them know. My kids have been out of high school for at least 4 years, and we still do so.The response from the teachers has been very, very gracious, as they have always been a very charitable group themselves.

Our old school district had a district policy that no gift to a teacher could cost more than $2.99! That was easy shopping! I usually had the kids make something.

Our new district isn't so easy. There is no limit. I give something small and not too tacky. There is no use trying to keep up with the gift cards values that others are giving.
