Did anyone else get this? What is up? Opinions?
Trying to save himself?!?
Too bad - already voted! LOL ;)

No mention on savedisney regarding any emails being sent out...

I just realized when i went back and read it again this was an email response from an email on savedisney's website that I basically added my name and email address to and sent it off from within savedisney's site. Sorry. Regardless, I've copied and pasted it below. I sent this form email to him awhile back. He is replying a little too late since I'm sure many voters who did this thru savedisney's site have already voted. (That is IF they got their proxys!)

Thank you for your recent email. I appreciate your taking the time to communicate your views, which are an important contribution to the Board's understanding of shareholder concerns.

While it would be inappropriate for me to respond to you directly during the pendency of The Walt Disney Company's current proxy solicitation, I hope you will take the opportunity to review the materials contained in the Company's proxy statement and most recent annual report, as well as the letter dated February 9, 2004, sent by the Board of Directors to Company shareholders, a copy of which can be accessed at http://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1001039/000100103904000017/shareholderltr14a_2-04.htm.

Very truly yours,

George J. Mitchell

It's a boilerplate response that was actually drafted up by the Disney legal department for use by ALL of the Disney Boardmembers. The actual text of this email was made part of the public record (in an FCC filing) about 2 weeks ago -- with a blank space where each board member would add his/her own name.

It appears that all of the recent activity has caused a huge inflow of email to Mr. Mitchell and the other members of the Disney board. They decided to basically ignore all of the email inflow, and attempt to pacify the disgruntled shareholders with this rather lame attempt to deflect the criticisms contained in the shareholder letters.

Lame is right. Jeesh - you'd think those high paid lawyers could have done a little better.
