i am about 50 or so days out and today i got an email from disney that it is time to make dining reservations b/c i'm on the DDP and i'm traveling over dates that are filling up fast at restaurants. i have already made my ADRs long ago and for past trips i have never received an email like this before...should i worry about it and call back and confirm my ADRs or just disregard it?

We got emails like that last year a couple of times - but our ADR's had been made long before. Like the PP said - it's really just a reminder. There are lots of people who wing it or who don't do ADR's at the earliest possible time.
You should be just fine.

Hilarity ensues from Disney....imagine calling now at 50 days out and trying to get all your first choice restaurants at prime times ;)

The last time I went to Disney, I came home from the trip. Two days later I got a mailing with packing info from Disney. Safe to say that they mean well, but we know better.:rotfl2:

It is VERY possible that people not on these boards get the dining plan because it's offered when they make their reservation. Sounds like a good deal for them so they book it.

And don't make reservations because they either don't know you can or think it's 30 or 60 days out.

And then they either can't get anything or get there and try to make reservations.

So, they've paid and they can't take advantage of the table service meals. The dining plan is essentially worthless for them.

I just received my reminder 93 days before my check-in. I feel very sorry for anyone not aware of the 180+10 ADR policy. I'm sure these E-mails are generated automatically and probably wouldn't take much effort to change the send dates to 190 days instead of 90. But who knows? I can't imagine going to all the way to WDW and not being able to experience the more popular restaurants.

Not everyone is on DIS.

LOL, its true!!! you forget that there is this whole other little world out there of ppl who aren't DISers...oh, i feel so bad for them!! they lack so much information!:lmao:
