Yep, us too. We were in the middle of the third quarter of our football game tonight when it started to lightning really bad to the north. Then the sirens went off. That was the fastest I've ran in a while... We got home okay and it all stayed to the north (thank goodness!).

Anyhow, stay safe tonight Nancy and keep that radio on! Mine's on 24/7 and wouldn't live w/o one now.

Everyone is okay here.. NO damage minus the basketball goal falling and taking off Dh's side mirror.. but no dents or other damage..
Tornado possibly hit further north of Kaddjr...

Nancy- A tornado hit Nappanee. The damage there is really bad. DH called around 7:00 am to say he was on his way back home because the company he works for got hit really hard. The plant across the street from his was totally destroyed- it was in the street, literally. From what we've been told, there were two other plants either damaged or destroyed. Lost of damage to homes, some just gone. The city is under a state of emergency and they are not letting people in. Two things to be thankful for- as of now, no fatatlities and we are so very greatful this didn't happen during the day when those plants were full of people. In addition to DH, my brother, his step-son, and several of our friends work there. And while it is very bad there now, if this hit during the day, I'm sure things would've been a whole lot worse. We expect a call sometime this weekend letting DH know when he is to report back to work.

that is just horrible. i'm so glad your family is ok. but i still feel so bad for the people of that town. i will certainly keep them in our prayers.

I need to call dh's grandparents.. I believe the RV place (wasn't it hit) was where he worked years ago...
As you know.. Nappanee has our thoughts and prayers.. we have DH's family near that area.. everyone is accounted for..and ok..
