EMA problems

Anybody else having problems with EMA?
Basically my dd sent off her application in May and hasn't heard a thing, i'd forgotten all about this until she mentioned that her friend has received a letter to say that she has got this, thing is she lives next door.
I phoned them yesterday and they took name address etc and said that someone would phone back, guess what no phone call so i phoned them this morning after being transferred 6 times only to be told that there was a backlog of applications and could i wait a few weeks.

I can confirm they are in the process of sending out all of their post at the moment so you should hear from them soon. There are two places up here which deal with the EMAs and I see their post everyday they send them all over the country. Try to stay positive they are posting several thousand letters every day at the moment by first class post so it may take a little while to get everyone done and sent.

have since phoned again as i wasn't happy with the way i was dealt with, apparently we should have had some sort of confirmation about 3 weeks ago, was also told that they are looking into this just to make sure that they have received the form and that i should receive a phone call either wednesday or thursday.
So far this year we have had a tv licence that never arrived and my dd National Insurance number had to be re-issued as we never received this either so this is why i'm just a little worried.

i know my ds was waiting for his renewal form in june and when i phoned they told me that had a backlog to get through, i did receive the form about 1 week later he is now waiting on the confirmation letter to say he is still entitled to it .

Hang in there they are posting loads of letters out in the next 4 weeks, bulk postings everyday hand sorted in our office and routed out to all areas of the country.
Some lucky mail centres have flat sorting machines which will speed things up for you. Then it's down to the last man/woman on the delivery to get them to your doors.
As soon as we get them (usually about 2 p.m. daily) we sort them and send them out a.s.a.p. They have all left our office by 9 p.m. each night and are travelling down the country on our big wagons to reach most places by 4 a.m. ready to be prepared for your town delivery.

Please be kind to your "postie" they have an awful workload at the moment, I'm sure the sales team need a kick up the rear for agreement to take some of the stuff which the posties are expected to carry, light bulbs.. catalogues.. tea bags etcetera which cannot be left anywhere and take up lots of space and some items are very heavy weights too. No fun when they get soaked repeatedly and have to carry all items back to their office that they could not deliver each day It's no wonder the majority of the post people we know who have done the job for more that 15 years have arthritis and rheumatism.

I did receive a phone call back but it was because they wanted confirmation of the postcode, and that this other department was dealing with this and that they should phone me back, so i asked when this might be but was told that there was no timescale.
A friend of my daughter who sent his application at the same time also hasn't heard anything
