I know we will see Elsa and Anna at the Frozen Deck Party during our Alaska Cruise, but is there any opportunity at all to meet them on the ship?

We will be at Disneyland for a few days before or cruise but the last few visits both sisters haven't been together and we just keep getting to meet Anna over and over and my kids are desperate for some Elsa interaction!!

I wish there was more at Disneyland for Frozen fans but that's another story!
Will there be any opportunities to actually get a photo with them on the Wonder in Alaska?

Yes, there will be a ticketed meet-and-greet on a sea day. You need to book your tickets online when your booking window opens up. Unfortunately, it often sells out for advanced bookings so some new cruisers might not get tickets, but there are tickets available onboard. I believe they are available at guests services so go there ASAP when you board if you can’t get them online.

are you sure that this is current info? this was the pre covid situation when all the ships had anna and elsa.
On my northern european one last Summer we had an open meet and greet for anna and Elsa durng two different seadays but my friends who sailed Alaska last Summer had no meet at all.

According to the news release from DCL last year, all M&G we’re supposed to be back to normal starting August 29, 2022. Maybe those who sailed one of the 4 Alaska cruises on or after that date can chime in.

Edit : Reports from Pixar day at sea cruises show ticketed M&G as well.

Yes for my Pixar and Marvel cruises there were ticketed meets. But I think the real question is whether Anna and Elsa are doing meets overall (regardless whether they are ticketed or not) and that accordingly what I heard was not the case.
But who knows, they might be back this year. Last year Chip and Dale didnt have their alaskan outfits neither....

I do know there is a ticketed Princess meet and greet and I plan on jumping on and getting a reservation as soon as I am able to (I'm silver) I'm hoping for the best as there seem to be less kids on my cruise. It's Alaska and School is back in session when we sail. I know Adults also want to do the M&G's but less so than most kids.

I just hope Anna and Elsa are part of the group because we will be meeting all the others at Disneyland and have done so on many occassions, It's Elsa that is proving to be the hardest for us to see and of course the one that the kids want to see the most.

Anna and Elsa were never part of the Princess M&G, which is held in the lobby atrium, but rather a special Frozen M&G in Animator’s Palate. While they usually offer the Princess M&G on multiple days during the cruise, the Frozen one is only offered on one specific sea day.

Does it require booking?

Pre-Covid, we booked tickets to see Elsa and Anna (and Olaf was there, too!). I'll be looking to book that again, which I believe it reservable as soon as my booking window opens.

I read that you were planning to book the Royal Gathering as well. For some weird reason, it appears (from what I've read on disboards) that the Royal Gathering isn't reservable at the normal booking window, but is instead only open at the 30 day mark (same day as when you can do online check-in).

From what I've read here, the advice is to book the Royal Gathering first and THEN work on the check-in process. (This
would be 30 days before you set sail. The Elsa/Anna booking would be whenever your normal booking window opens.)

Thanks, yes I know the 30 days before is for the Princess Gathering and I will 100% be trying to book that first as it's very important to my kids :)

Pre covid: character breakfast, royal gathering and frozen meet all opened together with your activities woindow (depnding on status)
Post Covid: no character breakfast (except the howdy hey bkf on pixar but the character didnt visit, it was like a little show in the walkways), royal gathering opening just at 30 days for EVERYONE and as far as I know last Summer no meets for Anna and Elsa on Alaska. Over the Winter they were def on none of the ships besides Wisheven though they were pre covid available. On my transatlantic last Summer Anna, Elsa and Olaf disappeared even though they were on the British Isles the week before (Anna and Elsa no Olaf, I was told he wasnt out because of the only one seadays cause I did have him on Iceland the month before) They ended up sending Olaf out on the TA cause they had promissed me during BI he would be on the TA and I reminded them of that. The character mgr told me they were working on new offerings and Frozen isnt part of the line-up anymore because they are a big thing on the Wish.

We are sailing next week and booked the "Royal Gathering" Princess meet and greet, but I see nothing offered to specially meet Elsa and Anna? Am I looking in the wrong place?

You aren’t
Unfortunately there isn’t any Anna or Elsa meet and greet on the wonder 😭

On my 17 & 19 Dream and 18 wonder cruise they did ticketed meets in addition to Royal gatherings

My 23 Wish cruise they just met a few times openly

If you are sailing on the Wonder to Alaska then no, you are not looking in the wrong place. We sailed to Alaska in June and unfortunately there was no Anna + Elsa meet and greet, just the princess gathering which they are not a part of.

Well that seems odd. On an Alaskan cruise, a meet and greet with the FROZEN characters would seem ideal, right?
