Elsa and Anna without FP?

I didn't get the FP when I had the chance bc we just saw them in October on our cruise, and while DD3.5 enjoyed it, she's not much of a princess girl. Of course, she has suddenly decided she is a huge Elsa fan. Any tips on seeing them (going Dec 20, so not quite Xmas crowds, but close)?

We were there on Saturday with no FP. We got there very soon after rope drop and beelined to A&E. At 9:06 we were in line and they said it was about 1.5-2 hours. It was just about 1.5 in the end. Not awesome but doable when the kids are fresh and motivated.

This might not be much help to you given your children's ages but we went during late evening EMH in August and probably waited about 30 minutes max. Obviously the fact that it was too late at night for many of the little girls who would be drawn to that meet and greet probably helped greatly. My DD is a night owl though and has been doing the late EMH at MK since she was 6.

While the overall WDW crowd level may not be at the holiday peak on Dec. 20th, the Magic Kingdom will be SLAMMED. The last two MVMCP are on the 18th and 19th so the park will see very short hours on those days followed by very long hours 8am-2am! on the 20th. It's going to be a very difficult day to tour MK in general, never mind Anna & Elsa. I'd keep checking for the FP+ or you may find yourself in line for a very, very long time. I probably wouldn't even attempt it with a little one. JMO

just in case you see something come free for 12/20. I'll be in MK on 11/22 and scored FP+ for E&A this week with the help of some fellow Dis Board members.

In early June, the posted wait time just before 11:30 pm was 90 minutes. The actual wait was only 10.

Keep trying for a FP.

Probably your only chance to do it without a FP is to go 1st thing in the morning. Be at the MK gate WELL BEFORE Rope Drop to try to be one of the first in line.

You could also try during parade times, either 3:00pm or the evening parade/fireworks. I have not tried this myself, but I did over hear someone saying they had only a 30 minutes wait during the evening parade, when posted wait times through the day were 110 minutes. This was in 3rd week of October.
