ELP running? How long?

Is ELP still running? In which park? Any ending date? Or is it coming back from somewhere else?

It is in Walt Disney World at the moment, since last summer, and there have been no announcements of it returning anytime, though lots of wishful thinking on this board.

The plan was always for it to return to DCA this summer, once the contrustion is done. But with WOC, that seems very unlikely. There are however, rumors that it may return to its rightful home on Main Street USA.

However, with the fireworks shows being Hub/Castle centric they are doubts that this is feasable.

When they had the MSEP (Main Street Electrical Parade) before, there was still the castle, fireworks, Fantasmic!, etc. I don't see what has changed that would keep the EP from being the MSEP again. I personally prefer it in its rightful home as the MSEP!
Please bring back the MSEP, I will spend lots of time and money to be there watching it!

When they had the MSEP (Main Street Electrical Parade) before, there was still the castle, fireworks, Fantasmic!, etc. !

The fireworks didn't use to use the castle as a focal point, as they do now. 10 years ago you would not have found hundreds of people camping out ON/IN Main Street hours before the fireworks.

I am only repeating what has been posted on other Disney blogs.

Yes, it is running! Which park? At the Magic Kingdom park in Florida.

As others have said there are rumors about the Electrical Parade (it is not and never was called the Electric Light Parade or ELP - although that seems to be a frequent misreference).

I was going to correct the "ELP" but didn't know the correct abbreviation nor how to change a main title in a post.

I hope they bring it back to Main St.

For as long as I can remember people have always gathered in the hub to watch the fireworks, even hours before the show. I have been going to DLR all my life, and have ALWAYS watched it with thousands of others in front of the castle.
What they usually do with a parade before the fireworks is rope off the street area so you can only be on the sidewalk areas (with a small area towards the shop that is for walking only). Once the parade has passed they take down the ropes and you can fill in the street within the hub and up Main Street.
