I'm thinking about reserving 2 seats here, but was curious. Do you pay when you get there or over the phone? Is it really worth the $60 pp? I am having a hard time justifying it, but I think it would make a great birthday surprise for a big fan of the ELP.

Personally, I don't think it is worth that price. There are so many locations you can sit at and get front seats for the parade. I'd rather spend the money on a nice dinner at Steakhouse 55, the Vinyard Room, Blue Bayou, and see the parade w/the masses. However, if money isn't really an issue, and you're looking for the experience, it might be worth it to you.

Do you know if you can see the parade from the Wine Country Trattoria?

I would agree with the second poster. I have never had a problem getting great seating for this parade. We have always sat on the parade route that goes pass "It A Bug's Life". We sit on the side that is adjacent to the GRR. We sit on the ground and the parade comes right up to you.

I believe the ELP viewing is at the Wine Country Trattoria's outside seating.
When I called to inquire about it I was told there was room for 24 people when I asked how fast it books up.

I didn't realize it was $59 per person otherwise Iwould have booked it.
We'll take out chances and watch with the masses.
I'd rather spend the $ on a character meal.

Is it just the seats for $60 or is there something else to it? Seems spendy for a parade that has plenty of spots open for viewing.

You get a little dessert box too. I think it is pricey, and always thought people were crazy for doing it, but if we go it'd be for someone's birthday that is crazy about the ELP. If we could just watch it from the wine country trattoria, maybe we can make a reservation there during the parade.

We've done PS at EP twice - and it is located at the wine country trattoria. For that price you receive a glass of wine along with a dessert/cheese box (not the same as the Fantasmic box, but along those lines.)

We enjoyed it , but you certainly would have no problems seeing the parade comfortably and easily from elsewhere. Also - it's very short - shorter than Fantasmic/fireworks. And of course you don't need to do the pre seating check in for Ep as you need to with Fantasmic. You pay beforehand, and pick up the tickets at guest services.

It might be worth enquring whether you can boook for dinner there instad, although I don't recall seeing anyone do this.

I don't think it is worth it, it is easy to get a good viewing spot for EP. I think you would be better to spend the money on PS for F!, it is much harder to get a good viewing spot for that....and it is a much better show!!

We had PS’s at Wine Country at around 7:45ish and were seated on the patio outside. Right before the parade started our waiter informed us that the whole area will become dark and they are going to turn off the outside lights in the patio so we can watch the parade. They actually rope off the patio so you can’t get out and people can’t get in (I think the only way to get out is go through the back through the winery). So after we finished our meal, we walked over to the ledge and watched the DEP from there. We had a perfect spot and it seemed that everyone that was eating on the patio did the same thing. I suggest getting a PS around that time so you can stay and watch the parade afterwards.

HTH!
