Well first if you have never been on this ride there is no way you could call this ride claustrophobic. All the rooms are huge like a basketball court or larger.

As for not getting off, they don't strap you in. In a true emergency you would just get up and walk to the nearest door marked EXIT.

I think this ride is one of the most traditional Disney rides there is. It presents a story in an interesting way with different scenes and a unique way of getting from scene to scene.

So as others have posted don't take your kids if they are scared and go potty before you go on.

You must not be prone to panic attacks from being stuck in a place and not being able to get out when you want. The ride is soooo long, that is the problem for ME. Anyhoo, I don't like the ride.

But you are not shut in there are exits.

I guess I'm thinking of the more common definition as being in a closed in tight space like Mission Space where it really looks like you are locked in.

So I guess that ride is a no go either.

Once the ride portion in the moving theater starts, if someone tries to exit the ride they will shut the whole thing down, evacuate the guests, and restart the entire ride mechanism. Some folks just need to know they can get up and walk out if they feel like it, which can't be done on the EEE ride portion as they'd probably like to get out without attracting attention rather than having the whole ride shut down and the theater evacuated. If that's the case, the size of the rooms is not at issue.

I love it! It's just a fun ride and much more elaborate than I thought it would be. I think your kids will like it, too. My, then, 9 year old did.

It's a family fave that we wait until mid-afternoon to do. Potty break first!

It's a great ride on a hot afternoon, nice and long with great A/C. I love the animatronic Dinosaurs, as does DS, and it's a great break from the heat. It is a must do for us at least one time each trip.

I have been on Ellen's Energy Adventure before. Before my clausterphobia became so bad. It doesn't matter if the rooms are huge or not, just knowing that I can't leave when I want without causing a big problem for a lot of people is enough to make me feel trapped.

So while you may think there is "no way" to call EEA clausterphobic, for me it is.
