ellen's energy adventure

We really like this ride! It is funny, informative, and a not-so-scary way to see dinosaurs (as opposed to the Dinosaur ride). Plus, it is a really long movie/ride, great to do in the heat of the day when you want a relaxing break!

Boring? :confused3 I LOVE this ride, and would never consider going to Epcot and not riding it.

The Dinosaurs part is my favorite, although much to short -I wish I could get out the car and spend some time there. I just love the atmosphere!

And I enjoy the rest too. The flying part reminds me a little of Soaring.

My girlfriend liked this ride, but I thought it was ok to almost boring. The attraction takes too much of your time! But if its hot outside and wanna cool off for a while, walk right in. Personally dont care too much for Ellen's sense of humor, she seems like a Jerry Seinfeld rip-off.

I do like it and we make time for it, eventhough we are only at the park for 1/2 a day. It's great for all with the AC, the little ones will enjoy the dinosaurs, and the adults can enjoy the humor that will go over the kid's heads!

I am 28yrs old and I feel asleep in my DH's arm when we were there in July. But this is also coming from the girl who fall asleep in the Hall of Presidents QUOTE]

LOL!!!! Me too!!!! In April DH, DBIL, Dmom, and I were all tired mid day after a long trek through Epcot. We went to see the show and I felt myself drift off to sleep. All of the sundden the show was over and DH was trying to move his sholder ( it was asleep from me laying on it). I looked over at DH, DBIL and Dmom- thery were all waking up too!!!! We has all 4 slept through the entire show!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Personally I love this ride.. I ride it every time we are there.. I dont think its boring but since my kids already rode it and then had to ride it again they didnt think it was as cool as they did the first time..

I love this ride. Our boys were 4 and 6 last time we went and they loved it as well, and still remember it and talk about it. I seem to enjoy the rides that are 'less popular' like CoP, I LOVE that one too.

This is one of my dh's favorite rides. I think it's a little over your 2 year old's head. But they will think the dinosaurs are cool

Best place in EPCOT to take a nap!!!! (This is a very important thing to know!)

Now having said that, I prefer the post-Ellen to pre-Ellen version. Gawd, the stupid movie you used to have to sit through about oil refineries...reminded me of being back in high school when the teacher would put on a movie so she could go out and have a smoke!!

My DD liked this as young as three. As for me, the ride has some weird power over me and I am sound asleep by the time the vehicles start moving. Luckily it's a long ride (I think over 20 minutes), so I get a nice snooze while dh and dd enjoy. They wake me up at the end. Apparently there are some pretty intense dinosaur action, but as many times as I've ridden I've never witnessed it.

Add me to the EEA Snoozer's Club. I couldn't tell you what this ride is like, even after more than 5 go rounds.

We like it a lot - though some of that may be due to nostalgia - it was our first 'ride' at Epcot. I thought it was going to be some kind of theater show - like Hall of Presidents - so I was mightily impressed by the way the theatre split up and went on tour.
My DD who was 7 in 2000 shut her eyes through the dinosaur section but was fully enjoying them two years later. We still tease her about her initial behaviour.

It's a LOUD ride, so if the little ones have a fear of loud sounds, it can be scary.

The show is kind of long, but if you have enough time I think it's worth it. A two year old probably wouldn't get most of it, but if they're into dinosaurs they'll probably love that section. There are video sections with Ellen and Bill Nye the Science Guy before and after the dinosaurs that a little one will be bored with, but this is one of my family's favorites (mom doesn't do "rides") as we're all Ellen fans.

I say try everything once but it is veryyyyy long and boring we rode it one time and that was enough for us zzzzzzz. THat is just my opinion.

I've noticed this ride is VERY LOUDDDDDDD...and I crank my music up all the time.

I saw it for the first time a year ago..i was ill on my trip and it was great for laying down and napping during the ellen part. It was cool and a break during the day.
If you are a creationist and don't believe in the big bang theory, it will really bug you, however all that said I found the dinosaur part interesting and plan to go on the ride again on our upcoming trip(2nd time to disney)

I don't think I've ever been to this attraction! :confused3

I may have been on it pre-Ellen, because I do remember a ride where the theater seats split off (but that's all I remember).

I guess we'll be visiting this attraction soon. :)

I don't think it's boring. Not the high paced ride like in animal kingdom but a very pleasant nice ride.

I have to agree. I don't mind the Ellen version because I clearly remember the original. My parents used to make me and my brother ride it because "you are going to learn something." That movie was horridly long and boring for a 5 and 7 yr old. (All we wanted to do was ride Horizons all day.) If your 2 yr old doesn't scare easily from loud noises or the dark, then it might be a nice break from the heat/rain.

dancekm01, me and DBF both fell asleep during the Hall of Presidents. We went in with all intentions of watching the show (he loves history) instead we took a nap and came out refreshed.

I think it is truly boring but my DH loves it. My DD was almost 3 the last time we went so I liked the break for her. It is a soothing "ride" that you get so she may enjoy that part of it.
