Does anyone like this ride? Is it borring? Will my 2 year old like it? She likes dinosours. :confused3 I was planning on trying it but too many people are saying its not worth it and too long.

I don't think a 2 year old will 'get it', but the dinosaur portion is pretty interesting for tots. It's also a great attraction to help ease the little one's into a nap. ;)

Though interesting it is a nice place to relax and enjoy the AC

My 6 yr old loves this ride, my 9 yr old sees it as a chance to get off his feet, and my 3 yr old likes the dinosaurs. It's an 8 minute preshow, then the ride which is over 30 minutes. It's a great place to go during a pop up rain shower, or if the heat of the day is just getting to you. I wouldn't say it's terribly boring, but see it as an opportunity to sit and relax for a little while.
HTH.

I love this attraction -- especially the pre-show. DD was afraid of the dinosaurs and the dark when she was 3; by 8 she really liked the attraction.

I love this ride!!! It's funny and relaxing when you've been walking in the heat all day...

It is a nice relaxing ride. The dinosaurs are really nice to look at. I think it is nice that it is a long ride. Sometimes rides are over before you know it. At least you can really enjoy this one.

I think the ride is just OK, but way too long in my opinion. My young children got bored on this ride, and the dinosaurs can be scary.

DH and I really like this ride (but we like just about every ride). We're planning on taking our children on it as well, as they love dinosaurs.

If it were me I wouldn't take my 3 yr old on it. My DD (who was 8 at the time) and I went on it and it was OK, but there was a extremely loud boom and pretty dinosaurs. It is pretty long, but the cold air felt good. I thought it was rather boring.

If your daughter likes dinosaurs, I'd just take her to DinoLand in AK. Ellen's Energy Adventure is a good ride for a dino lover but the pre ride movie is waaay too long and boring. Your child may very well lose interest.

Take some ear plugs along if your kids don't like loud noises - the "big bang" is pretty loud!!

Our kids like the ride and it is a nice break from the weather in the AC!!

This is one of my DD's favorites! She's 13 now, and saw it first when she was 7. She would *not* have liked it at 2 though, because she was very sensitive to loud noises. As others have mentioned, the 'big bang' is very, very loud. When Bill Nye gives Ellen ear protection, and then pulls her in to the 'door' with him, cover your ears!

Also, if you are at all prone to motion sickness, take caution. The wide screen can set some people off, me included! There's a lot of overhead flying and steep banking in the movie portion.

We were going to do it when we were there but it stated it is about 45 minute ride so we said forget it.

I am 28yrs old and I feel asleep in my DH's arm when we were there in July. But this is also coming from the girl who fall asleep in the Hall of Presidents :rotfl:

It is a really good break from the heat. :sunny:

I liked it to much better before they added Ellen to it. It's hard for me to remember it all now because that was so long ago. I do remmeber going on it when I was younger and it was our 4th day at WDW and our first ride for that day. I fell asleep on my Mom's shoulder and then we entered the dinosaur area and popped right up! Scared me to death...haha! I went on it when they added Ellen...I think in 2001 and just don't care for it at all now. We were back at Epcot in June and I didn't bother to go on it and didn't even realize it. I had forgotten all about it. It needs a make-over!

I was SO close to falling asleep watching Ellen rabbit on about nothing even remotely interesting.

Kids would enjoy the dinosaur part though. And it was nice to cool off after a warm day. Something tells me this time I'll use it as a nursing station ;)

Same here. DD's 10 and 13, love it, and first saw it when they were 7 and 10. Well, I think hey also saw it pre-Ellen, but I don't remember their reactions back then.

My DD liked this as young as three. As for me, the ride has some weird power over me and I am sound asleep by the time the vehicles start moving. Luckily it's a long ride (I think over 20 minutes), so I get a nice snooze while dh and dd enjoy. They wake me up at the end. Apparently there are some pretty intense dinosaur action, but as many times as I've ridden I've never witnessed it.

I like it a lot! And no matter how many times I see the movie at the beginning, still enjoy it. :)
