Ellen's Energy Adventure - yikes!

We like Ellen's Energy Adventure. We always saved it for the afternoon when everything is crowded and we're tired. It's a great place to relax and get away from the mobs for a little while.

When my DD was little she loved EEA. She's almost 18 now but we still laugh and say "Stupid Judy. Stupid Energy."

We hadn't been on the attraction in many years but decided to re-visit it last year since DD's boyfriend was with us and he's really interested in science (he's a college chemistry major) and likes Bill Nye. It was sad because it was just the 4 of us and maybe 20 other people in the attraction.

If the majority of comments are it's great for a nap and/or AC it's not a great ride. I also agree that I don't understand they couldn't redo and update the movie and leave the rest of the ride alone. The movie is sooo dated.

It would be easy to update the ride with new script, new jokes, some plussed-up AAs, etc. in such a way that would please both the people who find it unrepeatable and the people who think it's a classic. But it would cost money. Like, 1/1000 of the extra revenue from the last price increase ... or something.

The Ellen AA cracks me up still...
Just looked up the Wiki on Universe of Energy & it says you can rent out the building for corporate events...I'm not sure if that's completely true, but if so, I'd love see a corporation that would do just that.

My DD loves it and I have never once stayed awake for more than the dinosaur room. My favorite nap spot in the parks. It is a win-win!

Love the dino part which is almost the same as it was when I was a kid, but stupid Judy could be ten minutes short imo. It also needs to be brought up to date.

Is it still there?

During the last couple of trips, (latest being January of this year) it was gone.

Last time I was there & rode it was ages ago so my experience is probably way off.... Going to ride it in a few weeks again.

Last I heard, she was not there and the creature she was fending off is gone as well.

It's so air conditioned and those seats are so long...just like a sofa. :tilt: Nap time. Hate the attraction, love the break.

Is this in a theater or in ride vehicles? I can't tell, even after watching the video of it.

You do move. It's very large sections of seats that move. It starts off looking like it's in a theatre and then the sections break off and move.

We had never done this before, so I told my family we had to try it this trip - mistake.... I'm still shocked at just how lame and boring it was, lol! Needless to say, one and done for this one!

I have skipped it the last 4 trips myself. I like it but for me it's not enough for me to spend 45 minutes on. Way too long for me. I actually like the ride portion of it but it takes too long to get to that point.

Same here. I was thinking about doing it this summer, but now our EPCOT is down from 2 to 1, we probably going to skip that again. Too long and too out of the way. With our luck, there will be an announcement about its close down after we come back from our trip.

We all love it, it's an every trip ride for us. We use it to relax and take a break.

I'm too restless of a sleeper. I'd never be able to fall asleep among all of those people and not lying down.

It's bad...a whole new idea on Energy could fill that pavilion and the park would be better for it...

I am also thinking that will be the case this year. It will be mid July, I know I will be sweaty and hot. I will probably get what I want to do and then think I'd rather go back to where I am staying and jump in the pool.
