Ellen's Energy Adventure - yikes!

I love the actual dinosaur ride part...I wish the whole thing was just that! I'm a huge Ellen fan also, but there is just too much talking. :) I may like it more in 80 degree weather, though, than February weather which was when we experienced it. I did close my eyes for a few minutes.

One and done but I'm in the minority in my house. It's just soooo long.

For the record, we love Swiss Family Treehouse.

I experienced for the first time my last trip in April. Didn't think it was too bad, probably won't do it again. But one good thing is that it is nice and cool in there.

I like it but it sucks up a ton of park time, so we usually end up skipping. By the time we've done TT, Soarin, Spaceship Earth, and Living With the Land, it's time to head to World Showcase!

It's cool, dark, and has dinosaurs. I can't imagine what more you could want. ;)

I can think of a few things. Like more dinosaurs.

And some post-dinosaur prehistoric creatures.

Heck, just jam-pack the ride with cool tableaus of prehistoric animals duking it out using Disney's new animatronic tech and the ride would be a hit with kids.

Update the video with new facts, places, and add some new faces.

Right now it's Ellen Saves Your Energy: A Naptime Adventure as evidenced by this topic :duck:

This a classic Epcot attraction which I have always enjoyed and continue to enjoy, if the films are simply updated I think many wouldn't find it as "lame" or "boring" as they do now.. I always find the dinosaur themed area incredible, especially when the curtains first open and you can see the sunrise and dinosaur shadows in the distance, they also need to freshen up and fix the broken animatronics. I think a decent rehab could bring this attraction back to life with little effort.

Least favorite ride in all the parks. We thought it was boring, dated and way too long.

I'm only disappointed I missed another nap opportunity on our previous August/September trip as Spaceship Earth was too short. :teleport:

Ellen's Energy Adventure is #1 on my list......of best places to nap in WDW. LOL

No joke we rode it on a very hot September day after taking on Mission Space Orange. While I thought it was lame it was dark, cool, and long enough to rest up. I don't ride it under normal circumstances but if I ever got hot or tired at Epcot, I would head straight to this ride.

Stupid Judy and her Stupid Energy is said frequently in our house as well.

We love this attraction!!!

A month ago I would have said I loved it. But a month ago I watched a vid of it on YouTube and realized I always fall asleep immediately after the dinosaurs.

Ellen is a must-do for my family. Once when a downpour came and drove most of the people out of the park I shared this ride with one other family..............who happened to be staying at the same resort as us! We use "stupid Judy, the ding dang, the piggy bank" around home all the time. Love it!

We had never done this before, so I told my family we had to try it this trip - mistake.... I'm still shocked at just how lame and boring it was, lol! Needless to say, one and done for this one!

I haven't been on this ride in several years. I don't mind the actual ride portion of it but the pre show is way too long. I always say I will ride if it I have time, but usually decide I'd rather just go back where I am staying and use the pool instead.

I find it lame, WAY outdated and beyond annoying. BUt the dinos at the beginning are cool!

We do it every trip. And my family sleeps through it every trip!!

I watch it every trip... and I don't fall asleep! It's a fun bit of history...
