Hi! I've been to Epcot countless times and never done this. We tend to do the headliners in FW and get over to WS as that is our favorite place in all of WDW. My kids are 5 and 7 and therefore not super interested yet in educational stuff and also I saw that the showtime is 22 minutes, which is a big chunk of time. But my DS loves dinosaurs and I saw that there are some in the ride.

Is it worth going just to see the dinosaurs?

It is a great place to be able to stretch out, relax and cool off. That being said, I've ridden it twice and never made it the ending. Both times the ride experienced "technical difficulties" and we had to evacuate.

The actual time spent seeing the dinosaurs is relatively short compared to the entire time you're in there, but they're fun to see.

It's a great place to escape a downpour! If you're anywhere near there when it starts to rain, go in and by the time you come out the storm will be gone and the park a little emptier :)

FWIW, I'm not sure about that 22-minute figure you mentioned; the Epcot map says it takes 45 minutes, and Touring Plans says it takes 35 minutes.

We did it on my first trip six years ago and I haven't felt the need to do it again. You should be prepared for your kids to be very bored for parts of it, particularly the preshow.

It definitely takes a looong time to finish and you can't leave during the ride. This was a lesson learned the first time we went and had a little one that was not interested in staying seated/riding the ride.

I'd say only ride if you need a cool break or want to catch a little shut eye.

We've always enjoyed it but we don't do it every visit or make it a priority. As others said it is a nice break and gets you out of the son for a bit.

Meh. I did it last year and it was all right, if for nothing at getting off your feet and out of the heat for a while.

It really depends on your child. DD6 loves this and likes to go on it multiple times each trip. She has been on it many times since her first trip when she was one year old. I have done it so many times that I could skip it, but I do it for her. I think that the CM's announce that it is a 45-minute ride.

If you are an Ellen fan, it's a must do. If you are a child of the '80s, it is a must do (Bill Nye is the co-host). Frankly, the Muppets shows its age more than this does, in my opinion, but people don't complain about that all too much (and I love both attractions!).

I know we're in the minority, but we liked it.

We do too. But we both are old enough to appreciate Bill Nye and are Ellen fans. I remember the dinosaurs from when I was a kid, so there's also the nostalgia factor for me. It's nice and cool, but it is long, keep that in mind, and also the fact that you can't leave once it starts.

Let me start by saying that it is outdated, and in need of some love, BUT .. . it is also VERY in keeping with the original educational feel of Future World. The animatronics are well done. The movie clips are pretty bad, but overall, I really enjoy the ride, plus it is nice and cool. If you haven't seen it, it is a must do, have to try it at least one time. Our family will go on it at least one time each trip to Disney.

I'm glad I tried it once, it was cute.. But with that being said I won't do it again- it made me dizzy and a bit claustrophobic :(
